by SAS41, 3 years agoI love this addon, I hate sponsor segments and it was to the point that I started to unsubscribe from certain channels with more obnoxious segments, this is a great addition to my short-list of must haves.
I have to say, the collection of data is a concern, but I suppose since the sponsored segment times come from user submissions, the data collection is a must, to deter and stop bad-actors from submitting wrong data.
I see it as a necessary evil.
5 stars for quality addon, source code and clear and understandable privacy policy.
This should be part of the "Recommended" addons by Firefox.

posted 3 years agoI think we'll reach 5k downloads pretty soon (That is the minimum to apply).
I want to add a local database that will be used for older videos (since they don't need the same real-time updating), but there are still a lot of quirks I need to figure out before doing that (updating votes and making the server be able to send out that much data at once).
Check the options if you want to disable the skip counting :)
