很好的分屏插件,希望能更新 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

这个分屏插件很好用,简洁实用。
感觉比Split Browser、Tile Tabs、All-in-One Sidebar 的分屏效果要直观些,对google docs支持良好。

希望能支持火狐3.63版,将插件Split Pannel更新至最新版。

I wish one addon developer would get dualview/tab splitting done Right for once.

intuitive drag and dropping of a link/tab to a SIDE edge of the current view should split that the window taking that link/tab and opening its own view, more importantly though, and which so far has not happened at all, is that the TABBAR should also be split, and corresponding tabs should be moved accordingly to the top of each split view frame, so each new split would have its own view frame, but also its own tab bar effectively allowing you to have two browsersing in one window, but without all the duplicated control shit.. the second most important thing is that the locationbar, and toolbar buttons should work in a unified manner, so that the last splittab is the one where commands and actions goto. thus no duplicated controls.

right now every one of these tab splitting addons fails, because either it fails to even offer any locationbar/tab control over that split, or its duplicates its own mini toolbar, which is just dumb.

So far the only application to get tab splitting down right is Maxthon2, where the tabbar is split, ok so it only does Dualview, but for most people that is exactly what is required, more than 3window splits is just stupid and not needed in most cases.

What is also need is a way for users to pull out video/swf type objects into there own mini window, with extra ui controls , like tab detach/reteach, always on top window support.. this would mean most people wouldn't even need to split a window into multiple sections. And why dualsplitting with a seperated tabbar, and unified location/toolbar actions work for both split views depending on which is the currently active or last actvice split view.

Please some one get it right, its not hard(or maybe it is with Firefox) but it has been done right, just for Maxthon2 (beta5), which uses the sucky IE engine, and lacks the rest of the FF extensions.

Incompatible with Autopager & All-In-One Sidebar addons Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I hope the author will fix it.

Simple and useful Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Almost seems like this could be a delivered function in FF.
However, I agree with eliuri. The add-on is cool but the font size/zoom functions don't apply to the split off panel.
Regardless, good work.

This add-on would be so much better if the word "Panel" were spelled correctly.

I will "protest." This add-on needs more than five stars. It is perfect and simple. The only surprise, is the navigation bar. After clicking it to browse a site, it opens a pop-up. Pops up annoys me.

Incompatability Rated 5 out of 5 stars

no great surprise that trying to have more than one splitting utility does not work at all well. So I've disabled tab Splitter & Split browser, as having all three of these active produces a bizarre and unusable screen!!!

Seems to work OK, after I disabled Split Browser & tab Splitter.
No great surprise if splitters are incompatible with each other.

Excellent Stuff Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Does exactly what it states, no bells or whistles here. Brilliant if you quickly need to compare sites simultaneously without switching tabs and losing the info. No problems so far with tab mix+ or any other extensions I have installed. Great work.

Improvements Rated 3 out of 5 stars

If your going to split the main interface, make it as simple as possible.

Keep the main URL bar where it is along with links, and just have a panel for the seperate web page/pages only.
It gives more space for the web page to display.
Basically just put a small bar down the middle. Done.

other split page wont follow main Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I opened 3 pages using the split addon (right click and select down) and try to run a macro that i was hoping to run on the 2 other splitted pages but the other pages just won't execute the macro. Only the main page executes the macro and the rest won't follow.

Can anyone help me on this please? Would appreciate your help so much.

Great!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Worked great! Add no problems with Mixed Tab plus addon or the Zotero Research addon. Options panel was easy to use and let me setup the tab context menu with easy. Great add on!!

I couldn´t work out how to use this for about 10 minutes. Returned to the Firefox download page and read through a couple more times then, voila!
A great tool - something I have been looking for for ages and very simple to use.
But why not have the choice of a button or a clearer explanation on how to use?
To be fair, I use Mac OS and with a none R / L clicking Mighty Mouse, I really dislike these add-on descriptions that tell me to left click this or right click that.
PS, for other Mac users: do you know you can get there in the end by CTRL + click - you will get a submenu. It has taken me two years to discover this!

It's the closest thing to what I've been looking for, but can you make the split tab "lock" so when I click a link it opens a new tab?

Very useful for pages with long comments. I wish the options for splitting it in different directions were part of a submenu, though--I have the 3rd button on my trackball mapped to Expose on OS X, so I cannot split it towards the bottom, only the left or right.

WHere'S the button? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Ok right click on the current page then context menu item... Man, awesome plugin. And as opposed to what some trolls have said (maybe because it qould be the case for other splitting guyzmo out there), JavaScript, AddBlock Plus, NoScript, name them, they all work well in the newly opened panel! 4 Issues:

1. A BUTTON. Odd that there's no button for that one, it would be so useful... It should be simple enough to implement, I use AllInOne sidebar and I would add the button to its toolbar. If you clicked on it, it would open your currently selected tab into the panel. And if the panel is closed, it would either solely open it (with its previous content or blank page), either load the current tab into it, depending on some configuration option.

2. The possibility to have the panel vertical on right or left, or horizontal on top or bottom.

3. Since we can't open more than one panel, tabs should be allowed. I wonder if it would be possible to "embed" a new chrome container for an iFrame or WebPage into the panel...

4. An option menu, for specifying: when pressing the button panel, either automatically open the current page into the panel, either open the panel showing the previous content - if the button is clicked when the panel is already opened, the choice to do a close panel command or to refresh its content with the current selected tab; The location of the panel (top, bottom, left, right).
