- by Armus, a year agoRated 3 out of 5I really, really like the idea of this. However it lacks any settings and forces options that don't work well in all cases. For example, it tries to load Gmail with safe mode on strict. In other words, you can't access Gmail because there is no such thing as safe mode on Gmail, so you get a 404.
- by FireFoxUser1893847, 2 years agoRated 4 out of 5This is an incredible extension and it is very good for people just looking to filter out stuff they dont want to see. All the other extensions that do what this does just dont work or are very clunky.
The only reason im giving this extension a 4 star instead of 5 is because it really does need some customization. All I really want is a whitelist option for websites like youtube as this extension does what I want it to, but blocks some videos I like to watch on youtube.
Since this app doesnt support a password to prevent removal and claims to be for self-management I see no reason why it should not also support a feature like this. If this feature is added I would happily redownload this filter onto my browser.
- by Firefox user 15207906, 2 years agoRated 5 out of 5Finally! I've tried many extensions. Some do a decent job at blocking porn websites but they never block Google Images searches. This one does!
I've been trying to quit porn for a long time and whenever I'm feeling weak, I will go through Google. Starts off with normal searches and hours later ends up with porn.
This extension is just a safe-guard to help me ask myself the question: Do I really want to go down this road again? Before I actually do it. Of course requires some self control, but this is helpful nonetheless.
It works by forcing safe mode even if you try to turn it off.
Thank you for making this.
