Doesn't work for me Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Installed on my PC running Firefox. Doesn't appear on toolbar. When I open tools, it's there, with a green tick I try to set preferences, but the dialogue box doesn't maximize, so canmnot see wht the options are. Total waste of time.

Sorry, but this add-on is quite useless for other langs than English, because of the following limitation: "works with ASCII character only". Does anyone know a language which uses only ASCII? I guess it's *only* English. I tried 2 German dictionaries and this add-on doesn't even offer me to use them, it offers only en-US (in FF 29).

Excellent Add-on Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I write sites, live in kate (KDE utf-8 text editor) via konqueror (KDE file manager) using sftp connection to server. Checking code pages, 1, 2,000 even 10,000 plus lines long, is tedious with all the 'special characters' that are involved in html, php, css, javascript etc... So, i don't check.. This takes the 'code' out of the picture by checking the generated page... Awesome.

*one request would be either use a larger dictionary or a way to add words that appear on a site, repeatedly, to cut down on the highlights...

Seems Firefox isn't working with the spell check and I even downloaded the add-ons but can't find them anywhere to put the spell check in my toolbar...any suggestions ?

This addon is good for html spelling check, it works fine with custom dictionary(of course you need to install it within firefox first). But it only includes the error within a font style without any class or attribute. This is not good if I want to parse the html and get all the errors automatically. Can you try to add the class attribute like WAVE did? Something like @class="wave4tip"

Not compatible Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This plugin has not been updated. It is not compatible for several of the latest versions of Firefox. I would pay to have this extension working and for spanish language | Este complemento no ha sido actualizado. No es compatible con varias de las últimas versiones de Firefox. Yo pagaría por esta extensión, para detectar faltas de ortografía en páginas en español.

Locked up web page. Rated 2 out of 5 stars

It kept locking up my web page.

Works fine once you know how Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I had difficulty loading dictionaries other that EN. You need to first load the dictionary you want as an add-on. Then restart FF. Then go to the tools bar and select Spell checking / preferences. If the new language doesn't appear in the drop down, click save. the restart FF. New language should appear. After that it all works fine.

Once I worked out that I needed to select a language in the dictionary I was away. Agree with other comments that being able to add highlighted words to the dictionary would be a benefit, but not a huge drawback.
Very handy indeed.

That is all

Its a joke Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Rated 1 out of 5 stars I now have the spell checker......I like that it highlights, but what about a bar that comes up with the options for correct spelling.

adding to custom dictionary still does not work Rated 2 out of 5 stars

It works great but I cannot add any custom spelling entries. Another reviewer mentioned the same problem.

Does not accept new entries to dictionary Rated 1 out of 5 stars

To add new entries to Firefox's dictionary, you simply modify persdict.dat. This app doesn't take into account any modifications to the dictionary, nor does it allow you to select a dictionary. With support for a custom dictionary, this is a 5-star app.

This add-on has a misspelling Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It seems to work ok, but my confidence is not 100%. There is a misspelling in the icon title tag at the bottom. It says "webapge". (!!) Maybe it's that way on purpose. Come on!
