Not compatible with Firefox Quantum.
Checks only every 50th word. Worst spellchecker in the world
when I check spelling then it highlight wrong spelling but I am unable to select this highlight test
It was working fine for specific application now it stopped working. It is working fine for other pages.
When selecting "Check Spellings" in the context menu, it highlighted words in the header area of a website but nowhere else on the page (there are obviously misspelled words). Checked other sites for comparison and it's incredibly inconsistent. On news sites, it seems to be okay. On various other pages, it moves the word down to a separate row (breaking the paragraph) and then highlights the entire row. On most of the others, it doesn't work at all. Disappointed it's no longer working on the sites where I use it.
Windows 10. Firefox 55.0.3 (32-bit). add-on 22.214.171.124 Sept. 8, 2017.
I am using win10 and firefox version is 55.0.3 (the latest one). Do i have to add dictionaries or what?
I wish it still did. Used it all the time :(
Firefox 55.0.3 32-bit, add-on 126.96.36.199 Sept 8 2017. Nothing happens when select "Check Spellings" context menu item.
it highlights only spelling mistakes, so if you html page doesn't have any spelling mistake it won't do anything. would you please check on some page you think there is some spelling mistake and let me know.
Unfortunatly I'd like to give it no stars. Have downloaded and restarted but it is not working at all.
Can't download dictionary (broken link)
Running spell check in context menu doesn't do anything
Not only does the spellchecker flag every non-dictionary character string on the page ... it often locks up the blog's script so as not to allow the posting of your comment ...
I like it very much. I'm using it with Firefox 51.0b3 (32-bit) without any problems.
As a suggestion, I'd like to add words to the dictionary on-the-fly, and also have access to the dictionary as a simple text file. This would make this tool perfect. :)
Thank you for sharing your work!
Well, it does work in 48.01, but doesn't do a whole lot of good as a) you can toggle it on for a page but can't toggle it off, b) as best I can tell you can't add words to the dictionary so basically useless for tech pages (words like XML, FHIR). The latter is a showstopper for me.
Nothing happens, even if I click "Check Spellings" in the context menu. It seems the add-on does not work with an actual version of Firefox. :-(
I've used this add-on for a few years now. Quick, easy and works great.
This app was great with the older version of Firefox, but it now no longer works. Frustrating that it's not updated to work for the latest version of Firefox
Useful tool thanks for developing.. I like it since it uses firefox built in dictionary thanks a lot
It is a great handy tool to check spellings on page. But sadly after Firefox upgrade to 43 it has stopped working. Needs immediate attention or will be lost!
Super, but does't work with 40.0.3 :(
This would be great if it either let you add words (like iOS, MAC, enum) or used the same dictionary as FF.
The add-on installed without problem and provide some basic functionality. But it does not allow to extend the recognized vocabulary with a user dictionary, nor does it provide suggestions.
Does not work with 38.05
I installed Status-4-Evar plug-in and the spell check worked fine for me.
what is the use in pointing out spelling errors but yet it does not fix the error or even offer you a suggestion lol too much.
