not entirely sure how this addon works, there is barely any noticeable improvement, maybe cuz of my fast internet. i know it prefetch's dns address's, and has them available immediately, but im unsure as to where these prefetched dns address are stored. please make a UI for this addon, with options and information, because this addon may be straightforward enough, but at the same time feels sketchy.

Works very nicely, but I think you should have an option to exclude https (knocked off one star for that). I modded the js file to do that myself. When including https lookups you can end up with a bunch of those irritating invalid security certificate errors when doing a google search. Otherwise, very nice though. Thanks!

Please, update to Firefox 4.0. Well done, by the way ;)

works great, i wish to see an enhanced version which is mainly developed around "keeping alive" the links (hosted or shared) ... and much less involved in previewing thumbnails of every link

Before installing this addon; my pages were slow with delays and spinning cursors. This seems so far to have fixed the problem. Much faster. Testing continues....

Hasn't this been built in to Firefox since version 3.5?

https://developer.mozilla.org/En/Controlling_DNS_prefetching

"Firefox 3.5 performs DNS prefetching. This is a feature by which Firefox proactively performs domain name resolution on both links that the user may choose to follow as well as URLs for items referenced by the document, including images, CSS, JavaScript, and so forth."

Any time you search on google you get a message about invalid certification if some page in result is https. Can you fix it? Thanks!

I tested this on firefox 3.5x and 3.7a1pre (minefield) it certainly does as advertised the speed improvement is slight but noticeable it will not give firefox superpowers but does increase the speed enough to make it worth installing.
