This is great! It'll be even more useful now that the unthinkable has happened, SRA has been handed the keys to the White House, and his name will continue to be plastered all over the media (which delights him, I'm sure—it's probably the only real reason he bothered with all this).
I'd give this add-on all 5 stars if it paid more attention to capitalization. The Dreaded Name often appears in the midst of sentences, not just at their beginnings—but the add-on always starts the replacement text with a capital S. That doesn't really work.
Also, when the word "Trump" appears alone, it substitutes just the "r. a." part of the text. That's fine, but the capitalization isn't reliable there either, because the replacement text is all lower-case—which looks odd at the beginning of a sentence.
I propose a simple solution: Always capitalize all three words of the replacement text ("Some Rich A."). We all know what's going on, so it'd be funny to see SRA appearing with an actual alternative "name". And it'd be much easier than trying to code in all the extra context-detection.
I'd also like to see the bug fixed that Anonymous mentioned below. The add-on should ignore places where extra characters have been added (e.g. "Donald Trump's") and deal with the name strings only.
Ran into this add-on while looking for an image filter to block/replace photos of Some Rich Asshole. My only suggestion to further improve this add-on would be to alter his Twitter ID of @realDonaldTrump with @RealRichAsshole (hopefully nobody has already registered this).
Edit: Having some more time to think about this, there are a few other names I would love to see this extension handle in the same way, with suggestions to use:
Reince Priebus - Chief of Crap Kellyanne Conway - Excrement Alternative Sean Spicer - Sycophant Mouthpiece Steve Bannon - Alt-Right Wingnut
Seriously. I am so glad this was created (we should give the creator some kind of prize). Now, with screen shots, I can post something both political AND humorous. Reading political articles has never been so much fun, and I HAD to go to drumpf's twitter page, just to see. It did not disappoint. Now, if only there were an add-on that replaced "trump" with "f%*$ing moron," my life would be complete...Just sayin'...
This great add-on makes the foolishness of the 2016 US general election bearable. It works well. It would be nice if the the substitution name were capitalized, but I can certainly make an argument where giving such distinction is rewarding that which does not deserve it.
