Great Simple Addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Very much needed and working well.
Thank you so much.

works, simply, well Rated 5 out of 5 stars

gosh, there is no pleasing some people! you worked so hard to provide consistant functionality and i guess that's the bit nobody else could be bothered with. but rating this down because you didn't configure it the thousands of different ways people want it (for free of course lol) is a pathetic way to thank you. the worst bit is most of their problems stem from combining this add-on with massive "intefere with the whole interface" add-ons. people are also adding to the confusion by "working around" things, and still rating it down!

i didn't realise for ages that there was the extra down-up or up-down, just being greatful for the functionality that the 'thread' switching had. all i can agree is yes configuring own shortcuts is good for people who have many add-ons or are fussy (i fit both catagories but luckily i agree with your choices!) but perhaps donating would be a greater incentive from them.

the only add-on i mix this with (perfectly) is "ff rocker". this adds 'hold right and tap left to go back' and 'hold left and tap right to return forward'. this completes the ability to navigate without having to aim the mouse.

This may be my bad Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Just doesn't work. Space Next and the other similar extension don't work for me either.
AutoPager works- but only on a few big sites.

In this respect I miss Opera

suggestion:

design it so that you can go to any page in the thread based on how many times you scroll the wheel.

for instance, when you hold the right mouse button an indicator appears in the status bar with page numbers.. and as you scroll up or down it changes page numbers, then navigates to the number you selected when you release the right mouse button

thanks for the addon by the way

Useful Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Very Useful extension.

But can you port Previous / Next Page of SmartPager to FireGestures ? This funtion doesn't work anymore:
http://www.xuldev.org/firegestures/getscripts.php

// first, we search for LINK tags
var doc = FireGestures.sourceNode.ownerDocument;
var links = doc.getElementsByTagName("link");
for (var i = 0; i < links.length; i++) {
if (links[i].href &&
links[i].hasAttribute("rel") &&
links[i].getAttribute("rel").toLowerCase().indexOf(PREV_NEXT) == 0) {
loadURI(links[i].href);
return;
}
}

// second, we search for A tags
var regexp = new RegExp("(?:" + KEYWORDS.join("|") + ")", "i");
links = doc.links;
for (i = 0; i < links.length; i++) {
if (links[i].href &&
links[i].textContent &&
links[i].textContent.match(regexp)) {
loadURI(links[i].href);
return;
}
}

Thanks!

Seems like a great add-on, but the issue with Firefox 4 that sletaehu mentioned is stopping me from using it. Please fix that somehow!! Maybe by allowing us to just hit middle click and it'll go to the next page, or possibly just by double left clicking in the page? Thanks for making a great extension!!

Great addon, makes browsing the web a little bit easier.

A small issue in Firefox 4 RC1: when using right click + wheel, this causes the context menu to show every time, and I have to left click in an empty area to make it go away. It didn't do this in Firefox 3.6.

Simply brilliant. I have 'magpie' and 'Next Please!' but neither of them can do what this does, namely go to the next or previous numbered page with a keystroke. The other ones either don't increment correctly, or go to the next thread instead of the next page when there is no "next" button. This goes to the next numbered page in sequence even if there is no "next" button, even if you clicked on a link and went back to the thread. This just works.

This is one of the best addons ever! I actually have the reflex to click - scroll to the next page so that I try to do it even if I am on another browser.

Combine pager with ajax autoscroll. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Idea is to combine this perfect pager with ajax autoscroll.

#1.On scrolling before appearing end of page - loading next page and its pager.

#2. Parse from this next page content and append it to end of content that already exists on page.

#3. Parse pager from this next page and replace pager on current with it.

#4. Wait until user scroll end of page than goto #1.

Finally, simplicity and ease of use! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I don't know why Firefox categorizes add-ons the way they do, but-after considerable searching-I found a page loader that is user friendly. Simple and it does what the others won't. . . it works with ease- that is- IT WORKS!~. Thanks!

doesn't work for me Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I use 3.6.3, but this isn't working for me... It's disappointing because I've really been wanting an addon that shows how many pages long the webpage I'm on is.

I didn't select a rating when I first submitted this review, but it's telling me I must. So I'm giving it a 2 because it isn't working in my browser, although it's the only thing I've found that supposedly does what I've been looking for...

Sorry for the inconvenience

I made SmartPager to work on as many sites as possible
but it still has far to go...
It'll be helpful if you give me a specific url where SmartPager doesn't work.

Hello Ease,
many many thanks for this add-on, I appreciate it very much. The only problem: since Google has updated its own appearance, it doesn't work in Google main page (the search 'Everything' page). This is very curious, because on the Google 'Images' page it works well. Do you have some ideas regarding the reasons? And if yes, i would appreciate it very much if you can solve the problem. In any case, thank you very much again. Regards.

It seems strange...

Google search 'Everything' page works well... could you give me a specific url?

I tried this one, very good indeed, have some issues with some pages, specially forums/php sites.

After SmartPager, autopager, repagination and Pagezipper I went for Pagezipper, just because I need automatic "next page".

It's a shame that there's so many navigation-aid extensions yet not get things quite right.

This one is by far the simplest of extensions that actually do /something/ right, but it's missing some key components:
- customizeable hotkeys (or at least more comfortable defaults)
- recognition for first, last, and top links (not such a big deal, but should be there for the sake of completeness)
- most importantly, preloading of next page (a very big deal)

I don't know how thorough or effective is the recognition for correct page links. It works on the sites where I want it to, so that's good enough for me, I guess. I'm inclined to suspect that a system like AutoPagerLite's would be far more reliable and robust.

In fact, AutoPagerLite would be the perfect fit were it not so focused on degrading usability by promoting over-use of the mouse and unnecessary scrolling. At least this extension is lightweight and semi-usable without giving me carpal tunnel syndrome.

Excellent plug in until the latest update in Firefox. Now I had to disable the plug in because it was slowing down A LOT on pages like flickr with lots of page 1,2,3,4.. URLS on them.
