This is maybe good&useful, but it does not work. after installing pressing CTRL+F does nothing anymore (nothing visual happens). disabling the addon and CTRL+F works again. So there is no need to not uninstall it :-) but i'll try to remember this addon as it could be handy....

Broken on Firefox 28 & 29 on Windows 8.1 and Linux Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Used to work great, but has lately broken the find functionality (Ctrl + F) with Firefox versions 28 and 29 on Windows 8.1 as well as Linux.

Developers, please fix.

Not working Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This seems to be very useful addon :-) but not working for me.
I can't even find in page as usual, because Ctrl-F is not working. :-(

(It's great, because Czech language uses diacritics, so with this addon I should be allowed to search for words typed with or without diacritics.)

Hi, Lukas!
Thanks a lot for you review, we were a little far from this project, but we are getting envolved again with it. And we hope the next version will come with all improvements we are gathering.

Question: why ^F does not work ? Does The find box (native of the command) apper?

Nice smart and light weight addon. Thank you

Thank you too!!! Be comfortable to tell to your friends (real or virtual).

We are working on a new version with new features.
We hope it comes soon. :)

Works :) after You press arrow down to search.

Sounds good in theory, but its similarity algorithm is flawed. "205/50r16" failed to match "205/50ZR16" but did match "205/55ZR16" and dropped "205/" from the search term. (Quote characters in the preceding were not used in the search.) Perhaps the (undocumented, cryptic) preference settings would help, if I knew how to use them.

Can you implement a simple "Match whole word only" option like IE and Opera have but Firefox has been missing for decades? Otherwise it's a very good addon. Helps find word even if you make typos.

Please include an option to search in all tabs and I think this will become one of the recommended addons. Like the addon a lot!

clashes with Find In Tabs :(

Great Extension Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Works like a charme, to make it THE search tool it should be made compatible with "Find in Tabs" extension.
Thank you very much for this tool !

I like it very much, but it clashes with Find All and I've had to disable it. Maybe you could fix that bug and earn the 5th star? :)

great idea, but doesn't compatible to XUL/Migemo addon!

Try it--you'll Love It! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Easier to use than the description might imply: if your standard search comes up empty, just hit ENTER, and let "Smart Find" give it a shot. Unfortunately, as others have pointed out, it conflicts with other "Find" extensions--in my case the problem is with "Find Toolbar Tweaks".

great thanks Rated 4 out of 5 stars

this plugins.this can help me to do work.

Muito boa a extensão, ótima ideia!

Essential .. but conflicting with other "Find" extensions Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is a must have extension although it is conflicting with my favorite extensions: "Find All", "Find In Tabs", and "Find In Numbers" (actually, none of them is compatible with any of the others).

I kept this one and disabled the others.

I hope you can make it compatible with at least "Find All" or add its function to yours.

As i said below the Find-box and the Find-toolbar are too small, here is the fix based on the default theme findbar.css of FF3: http://rapidshare.com/files/137433048/overlay.zip.html

Great product but seems to be in conflict with Find in Tabs.

Great idea! It works in the most cases for words in english language but not always for another language, for example german letter ß could not be recognized as ss. It still needs improvement. Maybe authors could try to implement the SoundEx algo: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soundex .There is a extension called SearchWP that uses this algo in the source code, but its source is not complete yet. The Find-box and the Find-toolbar of the default theme FF3 became much smaller as it was, it is hard to see what i type in there. Better leave all those cosmetic things to be default.
