Well it's dead now along with Firefox 2 - best move on. Firefox 3.7 is great, Opera 10.10 is superb, and Chromium is dead sexy.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.02).

I like the idea behind this extension, but the biggest problem I have with it is that it slows down my browser. I even have a pretty fast computer and OS, but it really slows browsing.

There are a few other things about it that could stand improvement, too. It should open the Digg submission page in a new tab/window. It should start the submission at step 1, not 2, so that the media type can be selected. And it should try to submit the URL and other information to Digg automatically, leaving less for the user to fill in. Those are minor problems, though.

If this extension ran faster or my computer was very, very fast, I would continue to use it.

Also, I see another user didn't like the extension's button in the status bar. I like it in the status bar. It's a great place for it, since I can't live without status (gotta see where the links take me to!), but having the option of placing it in a tool bar would be very good.

I really wish this would be updated to work with Firefox 3 - I use digg far less now that this isn't working!!!

Still rated five stars, for use with older versions of Firefox. I won't go back to Firefox 2, but I sure miss this one.

Firefox 3 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Love the add-on. When it didn't work with Firefox 3, I went back to 2.0.0.1.5. When this add-on is compatible, I'll upgrade Firefox.

This is one of my most used add-ons! Or, at least it was... :-( I upgraded to Firefox 3 today and it's not compatible.

Very nice add-on for Digg, although I prefer the Digg Firefox Extension a bit more. The only downside of Smart Digg is that it re-uses the current window/tab when submitting a new site to Digg.

This addon works perfectly for me (2.0.0.13). I use this addon very often, and it has a very special spot in my heart ;)

digg placement big mistake Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Really good add-on, I wish i would use it. The placement of the button on the status bar is a big mistake. I dont use and I wont use the status bar. If i could move the button to a place of my liking or set it to mouse right-click or a hot button, then I would use it. There are loads of add-ons craving to clogg my interface with bars and what else. I want to see as much of what im interested in surfing the net, and that is not bars I dont use. Im sure im not alone thinking that. Otherwise, a great add-on. Good work.

Doesn't work with Linux Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This application doesn't work and doesn't do what it said it will under linux / ubuntu / firefox combo.

Thank Yahweh For This Rated 5 out of 5 stars

There is nothing more frustrating than typing a thoughtful and informative description for a Digg submission only to find that it has already been submitted.

Great Addon Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is a really great addon. I couldn't realy live without this now.

My one request would be that on middle click or something it just dugg the article rather than taking you two the articles digg page where you then can digg it.

Just makes sense....

Good extension... but Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I really like this extension, it definitely helps me do more digg'ing. I have only one suggestion, could you make it so this was an entry in the context menu, it could be a preference, that way you don't have to have it in the status bar all the time and can access it when you want. Awesome extension, keep up the good work.

font/color Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I really like this extension ... I find I'm digging more things that I really like, besides what just happens to be at the top of the digg page. Great for people like me who use the personal digg rss to post sites on our personal homepages.
One problem I noticed is that if I use a theme where the status bar is black .. I can't see the text for this plugin. this happens with vista black for example. anyway to fix that?
