not working on FF 44

Great add-on! Works immediately. - Works with up-to-date FF in 2016... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Did exactly what was described and pictured on the add-on's description page. - Despite other reviews from last year, I am using this add-on in 2016 with the most recent updates to Firefox, and am having no issues with it working.

Only took a fraction of a second to install after selecting to do so, and when I immediately clicked on my already-open add-on manager tab, it had already been slimmed-down - less than a second! No restart need. A great add-on - simple, effective, and easy to use. Clearly stated, and executes it's function just the same.

Basically it just moves the text that's usually displayed under your add-on's icons and titles to the right of their icon and title, and shrinks all the icons to fit within the newly-created single-line-per-add-on format.

The only complaint I have is that I would rather have the icons be a little larger than what they are made to be, since the icons are what I initially look for when searching for an add-on while scrolling through the manager. It looks like this could be done within the space provided for each add-on after everything has been slimmed down. Doing so might make the clearance between the icon and the top and bottom borders of each add-on's section a little tighter, and possibly less attractive as a result, but I think if you were to move the titles a little to the right a bit, this would reduce or negate that effect.

Otherwise, I have no complaints at all. Best experience I've had with any add-on yet. No issues with things not performing as expected or having to mess with the settings to figure out how to get the result/ function I wanted, no discrepancy between how it was described to work and how it actually performed.

Thank you very much!

I investigated what I could do about increasing the icon size. By only using 2px more height, I could increase the size to 32px.

Expect a new version soon!
EDIT: Version 12 is up!

Great (When It's Allowed to Run) Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Loved it when it worked, but with update to FF35, Firefox can't modify a file it needs to install this version.

Which is strange, since the extension is "Featured," and not marked as incompatible.

And not the only extension suddenly live but not working.

Stranger, still.

Love what it does. Hope it can do it again (soon)!

The add-on works fine in Firefox 35, I even use it in the Nightly version (currently 38) every day. Your error message suggests a general file problem, please check your profile folder. More information at http://support.mozilla.com

This is perfect for my tiny netbook! Especially since it seems everything in browsers and webpages are made for such huge monitors. This is an excellent plugin to see. Thanks for making it.

Works Great Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Works in Seamonkey. I used to use Cleanest Addon Manager but it doesn't work in SeaMonkey and FF is getting too much like IE and Chrome.

Brilliant little plugin, works as advertised. Definitely improves the add-on manager by removing unnecessary space!

Replying ...

Yes I know ... I'm just being lazy.

Sometimes I have a lot of add-ons so it means scrolling down a long list to find Slim :-D

Thanks for your response.

I used this for a good while until I came across Cleanest Addons Manager which I like the style of a bit better. IMO you really need one or the other of these since the default view is just unmanagable for a decent number of addons. I still have this one loaded because Cleanest dosen't do the Collections interface, and Slim does :).

<-- More Scrolling --> Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This turned out to not be as useful as I had hoped. True you see more add-ons vertically, but this comes at the expense of having to scroll horizontally to activate, deactivate or remove some add-ons depending on how long their titles are and on the available screen real-estate (@ 1024 horiz. resolution this becomes arduous).
I had hoped this function would reduce the (by default) ENORMOUS amount of blank space (to the left of the add-on list) and HUGE lettering Mozilla introduced into the add-on manager for TB and FF.
SAM is useful when size reducing [CTRL-] the add-on manager, but this setting is unfortunately not saved in TB/FF. SAM could improve on this by saving the last zoom setting or by carving away the gaping chasm between the add-on categories on the left and the add-on list on the right.
