SkipScreen -- download helper, now for sale... 0.7.2.1-signed
We’re sorry to say we can’t maintain Skipscreen anymore. We’d love to see someone carry on with it. If you’d like to buy Skipscreen, or otherwise find it a good home, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
About this Add-on
Wherever you need to click through ads or wait for countdowns, SkipScreen will be there to make your life easier. SkipScreen automatically clicks through the hoops to get to the content you want.
SkipScreen will be tenaciously maintained and improving all the time. We're starting with some of the most popular sites. But if there's a site whose superfluous pages and delays annoy you, please tell us!
SkipScreen includes the 'SmartLinks' functionality. SmartLinks helps you discover new things by automatically inserting relevant links to interesting content. SmartLinks is completely anonymous, and does not collect nor transmit and personally identifiable information.
Please note: This feature is opt-in only, and is not required to run SkipScreen.
To enable SmartLinks, just accept the SmartLinks Terms of Service when installing SkipScreen. You can later disable or completely remove SmartLinks from the Firefox Tools menu. Learn more about SmartLinks at http://skipscreen.getsmartlinks.com
And many more on the way!

Since this is not a support forum, questions you leave in reviews won't receive any help, while your question will probably disappear.

The Development Channel lets you test an experimental new version of this add-on before it's released to the general public. Once you install the development version, you will continue to get updates from this channel. To stop receiving development updates, reinstall the default version from the link above.
Caution: Development versions of this add-on have not been reviewed by Mozilla.
- Version 0.6.2a:
To create your own collections, you must have a Mozilla Add-ons account.
We do not collect personally identifiable information, except when you contact us by email or make a donation. In these cases, we only use this information to reply to you (e.g. "Thanks for the donation!") and we do not share this info with anyone.
The privacy of your links
We also realize that the links to files you download with Skipscreen may be very private (like an internal document, or an unfinished song). In situations where we collect these links (say, in our referral logs, or if you send them to us in a support request) we will not make them public or share them with anyone.
As an additional privacy measure, you can prevent your browser from showing referrer information for given sites using the Firefox extensions Refspoof and RefControl:
This is something we care about, and at some point we'd like to include this referrer-blocking code in Skipscreen. For now, all third-party sites are loaded from inside an iframe, and should see skipscreen.com as the referrer (not the original download link).
Like most sites, skipscreen.com collects anonymous information including IP address, browser type, operating system, referrer, pages that you access, date and time of your visit and time spent on each web page. This information is not personally identifiable, and we will only use it to improve Skipscreen, if at all.
Skipscreen (the addon) loads content from skipscreen.com in two cases. First, when you install Skipscreen or upgrade to a new version, it loads a "What's New" page. Second, after you download a file from a Skipscreen-compatible site, Skipscreen loads a post-download page that includes an iframe loaded from skipscreen.com. This page is optional and you can turn it on and off in your Skipscreen preferences (Tools > Addons > Extensions > Skipscreen > Preferences > uncheck "ShareScreen").
Pages on skipscreen.com (including the post-download page iframe) may contain content from third parties, including advertisements. You should consult the privacy policies of these third party services or ad networks. To prevent Skipscreen from loading content from Skipscreen.com after each download, you can disable the post-download page in your preferences. To block advertisements, you can use the Adblock Plus Firefox extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/1865
