Very Practical for me. But there's something that need to be fix Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Yes, a wonderful tool. Very useful although is there some behaviour that's annoying me. When you short cut some page, and you try to assign a letter that already belongs to other page. You first must delete the key (what's right) but what I think that is wrong is that you replace the page URL by the one that is going to be deleted in the dialogue box so you have to do 2 steps.

Is there a chance that you can correct this?, because I think is really a very impressive tool.

Thanks in advance.

Mr Morrison,
I thank you for your prompt response to my e-mail request for tech support.
I downloaded and installed the beta 0.9.9b2 from your website and it does seem to address each and every concern that I and my fellow Firefox users asked you in the forum to consider looking into. I found all of the aforementioned upgrades and improvements and managed to configure the app even more to my liking. My only concern was the very thing that I first wrote to you about and that was the option to remove the site launcher menu item. All of the other changes I found in the options menu in the add-ons extension panel. Changing the menu item display was not an idiot proof check box in the add-ons panel but rather required me to go into the about:config files to toggle my choice from true to false with regards to the show menu choice. I managed to figure this out for myself with a little bit of tinkering, However, being a relative newcomer to Firefox I did this with great trepidation as it seems like from all I have read and all the warnings, fooling around with the about config files in Firefox is somewhat akin to plundering around in the Windows registry when you have no clue what you are doing; a recipe for disaster !. Nonetheless, I figured it out and other than the fact that I somehow lost all of my open tabs, I rebooted Firefox and now everything seems to be working just fine and the menu item is gone. So i guess I am either a little brighter than I thought or just lucky. Anyway, in a nutshell, my rating of your app went from a 3 to a 5+ with the upgrade and the care and concern you showed by responding to my tech support request in less than a day. Highest Regards, R.C. Hicken

Nice, but quite useless for me. You got the same functionality when you add keywords to bookmarks... Then you can open bookmark in new tab simply by ctrl+T -> keyword or alt+D -> keyword to open in same tab. The concept is however great and I'd recommend it to anyone who don't want to add keywords manually.

Nice, useful, and promising little app. I like the idea behind it but it needs a little polish. Mainly, the menu entry is large, wastes valuable space, and is not even user configurable. Also, clickable links, (as well as the keyboard selection method) would add a nice touch but I wouldn't deem it a prerequisite. To the author's credit he seems to respond to comments posted here and willing to address users concerns and suggestions and offers to address these two concerns in his next update. Author went as far as to offer input on patches for the above but that was a little over my head (I am not a computer newbie but somewhat new to Firefox) but I appreciate the effort on his part nonetheless.

Great add-on for a great job! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I found this add-on truly excellent and useful as well, because it allows me to find my bookmarks easily without doing any strange operation! Great job! ;))

Very Good, But Needs More Options... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is a great add-on. I have very little vertical space in my browser as is, and this is a great way to get rid of the favourites toolbar.

My only request is that you should be able to assign several links to one hotkey, and they all open in separate tabs when pressed. For example, I have many email accounts, and it would be great if pressing 'e' would open all of them, my student account, home account, gmail and hotmail.

Separations could be written as done in the firefox homepage settings, separating links with a '|' e.g. 'www.mail.google.com|www.login.live.com'

Thanks for the great add-on!

Re: Very Good

Thanks for the feedback :)

Have implemented your exact suggestion in latest version, 0.9.9.

A very promising extention. There are a few issues I have with it though.

1. *Never* ad an entry into the menu bar. People (including myself) absolutely hate that. If you must, then ad an option to disable it.

2. the rounded edges appear jagged in linux

3. The favicons look ugly when stretched. Perhaps you could add an option to use our own icons?

Re: A very promising extention.

Thanks for the feedback, it's always much appreciated :)

From version 0.9.9 you can disable the menu item by toggling the "extensions.sitelauncher.showMenu" setting inside about:config

very nice and useful addon, but I wish you would add an option to remove its menu from the Menu toolbar..
cheers

Hotkey doesn't work Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I've wanted this kind of plugin for a long time, to replace my bookmark bar, then I found it.
Unfortunately, the hotkey that bring the launcher window front doesn't work on my Firefox, I've tried many versions, 3.2a1, 3.1b3, 3.05, none of them works. I just wonder why, I'm using the Simplified Chinese version of FF, does it matter?, I just can't see the launcher window, so pls help me

Great utility Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I like this addon. It's a nice replacement for the bookmarks toolbar for those who don't want to grab the mouse often (keyboard users) and/or want that extra bit of room to read web pages (in my case though, it's the latter). I also like how it automatically adjusts the menu size based on the number of rows selected and the length of the shortcuts' caption. The default hotkeys to bring up the menu and launch a site are easy to reach as well.

The only aspect that prevents me from giving a perfect 5/5 stars is that it would be nice to have the shortcuts clickable when you bring up the menu screen (not possible as of v0.9.5 and I see no option to enable the functionality). This will allow the addon to act as a "complete replacement" for the bookmark toolbars in my opinion (also easier for me than remembering all my shortcut keys although I tried to set them to something as memorable as possible).

Keep it up!

Very nice Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Some bugs with sorting, and don't use as a site's hot-key. But a very nice start.

Really Nice Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I like it. Adding web sites could be easier. Currently I keep my most frequented websites in my Bookmarks Toolbar Folder, but that decreases the web page screen size. Would be nice if you could import bookmarks from the bookmarks toolbar folder.

Re: import

Thanks for the positive review.

Import/export features are planned, basic support will probably be included in the version after next.

Pretty neat Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Nice work, How about if it automatically imports the bookmarks from the bookmarks toolbar? or at least offer an option to do that.

Great work.

Absolutely beautiful and USEFUL too! Feature Request to access a link it's more intuitive to move the mouse cursor to it and just click. Otherwise I'd give it a 5.

Re: mouse support

Thanks for the generous feedback.

Will be adding optional mouse support in the next version. Keep an eye out for the Beta version.

Well done however it would be better if the links can be clicked by cursor as well. 4 stars

Absolutely awesome. Just what I was looking for since I moved from using Opera to FF. I could probably put a cash value on the amount of time this saves in a year, probably enough to buy a Christmas dinner or three.

I give a 5-star for this extension. Just absolutely what I needed. An option to export and import the sites I add would make it PERFECT! Thanks David for such a great extension. I just reviewed this in my blog.

Awesome add-on. Would love to see a few tweaks though. Having the launch keystroke close the Launcher if it is already opened. Would also be nice if the actual shortcuts were click-able as well as.
