I'ts a beautiful thing I highly suggest this addon which made my speed dial and site surfing more precise! Would like you to add a docking feature like a sidebar to stay onscreen after touching other objects. All stars. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This Add on could potentially outdo speed dials in popularity!

Reinstalled-- will it stay? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

In a previous review I complained of having this extension snatched away by Firefox. I've reinstalled it and happily have its use again, but have no confidence that Firefox will not disable it again. I urge the developer to sign it or do whatever's necessary to keep Firefox from disabling it.

Great job Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I missed the Opera speed-dial when I moved to Firefox. This addon is the best solution I've found among the many available. Thanks

Superb add-on Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Have tried all the launcher/speed dial add-ons and this is far and away the ultimate. So easy to use & configure, and not cluttering the broswer with an extra tab. Further, I'd say it is the best Firefox add-on I've ever installed. Can I award SiteLauncher six stars please?
Congratulations David M

A much needed feature Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great addon! Could you please add a "wildcard" functionality?
For example instead of pressing alt+1 to open www.google.com
How about opening and searching immediately based on what is stored in the user's clipboard? The url the user should assign to their Google search shortcut should look something like this: https://www.google.gr/search?num=30&biw=1680&bih=899&q={WILDCARD}&oq={WILDCARD}&gs_l=serp.3..0i7i30l8j0i7i10i30j0i7i30.15641.17092.0.17219.8.8.0.0.0.0.272.751.0j3j1.4.0....0...1c.1.64.serp..4.4.750.6Z1I-J4iv5A

Can't use only one key for combinations Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Hi,
I use your plugin to run several macros made with iMacros through many combinations of keys.
The plugin is spectacular, but there are problems if you set as "Direct to site hot key" only the "Alt" key.
Often, pressing keys on the keyboard in a completely random, no combinations, start some macro called from your plugin.
Eg. if I have a macro that start to start with the key combination Alt + A, sometimes start only if I press A (as well as other keys), starts alone.
It would be very useful and faster to use a unique key (I use Ctrl for another), so as to use only one hand.
Is there a way to solve this problem?

Thanks a lot,
Michele

This extension seems amazing. BUT I would really like a sync feature. It's the ONLY THING keeping me from ditching the totally bloated FVD Speed Dial.

Can't use None+F1 as hotkey Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I love this addon but I've been sticking to version 2.0.0 for two years. This is simply because none of the future versions allows me to use simply the "F1" key to call launcher. I tested the latest version with the same bug. If you press F1, you'll get the launcher popped up once and then the P key is automatically pressed. This is strange, but when use letters other than " P " there's no problem.

By the way, I used to invoke launcher by js : sitelauncherLauncher.invokeLauncherMode(); now with the latest version I got: error : sitelauncherLauncher is not defined.

Useful Rated 5 out of 5 stars

One of the reasons why I can't stop using Firefox. It has a different behavior than the chrome's sitelauncher extension and I like firefox's sitelauncher extension better.

Could be best site launcher IF... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great ad-don.
But make it truly keyboard-functional.
- Please add function to navigate sites with arrow keys (maybe more functional than looking for letters) another reason is
- Please make it to focus to SL when (attached to) homepage open
In short make it fully keyboard-functional
- and newly assigned hot-keys are not working. FF 26
Anyway Thanks

Thanks very much for this excellent add on, I really like it a lot.

Hotkeys for favourite/regular sites is a great idea and the toolbar/hotkey pop-up is like having an extra very convenient (and attractively designed) boomarks toolbar.

Great stuff, thank you.

No Ctrl-Shift-Alt shortcut combinations starting from version 2.7.0. Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Until version 2.6.0 were possible over 80 shortcuts to sites using SiteLauncher. But this version does not work anymore starting from Firefox 25. It has been replaced by version 2.7.0, what limits shortcuts to the alphabetic keyboard only. Thus, without the numeric keyboard and without the possibility to use Shift-Ctrl-Alt keys, the shortcuts are now limited to the number 26. If you're looking for velocity and configurability for your shortcuts, the solution may be SpeedDial and FastDial extensions. SiteLauncher was a great idea, despite being focused more on beauty than on functionality. We hope that the changes will not remain in this limitative way, because it would be a great loss.

After updating to 2.7.0 it appears SiteLauncher can no longer distinguish between upper and lowercase shortcuts. E.g. 'd' redirects to the same URL as 'D' (despite different URLs are configured for the two shortcuts).

Problem disappeared after downgrading to 2.6.0.

Observed with both Fx 24 and Fx 25.

OS: 64 bit Windows 7.

Except for this new bug, SiteLauncher is an excellent add-on.

Seconding hopey, this is a very good addon but it just doesn't work properly right now for some reason after updating firefox, not sure what to do about that, will change rating if fixed.

Hi,

A new version of SiteLauncher is available that adds support for Firefox 25, it's available to upgrade to at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/sitelauncher/versions/?page=1#version-2.7.0

Currently this new version is "experimental" which is why it hasn't auto-updated yet, the auto-update will happen when Mozilla approves the update, but in the mean time, you can choose to manually install the update via the above link. Apologies for the disruption.

David Morrison,
SiteLauncher Dev.
