- Extension will add new toolbar, that hides when you click hide, but then reopens next time you open browser. Annoying if you would like to have just right click menu "search in google"
- Extension changes behaviour of middle mouse button (default action: open link in new tab) - now it always opens selected links in new window.

The site search works fine, but the toolbar does not remember its setting. When I click "hide" it does not stay hidden. When I open up new windows the toolbar is back. Even though I had it unchecked in the view menu too. I suggest creating an on-off button (as with FlashBlock) to open and close the toolbar.

Simple, but handy plugin that I miss when it's not installed. UI is a little raw (would like a button next to URL to hide/show toolbar, the toolbar itself is big and not that pretty, ...), but very useful.

If you simply want to search within the current page or host, and to save the room space of your screen.

You may try Search Everywhere.

Toolbar is optional

The toolbar is optional and can be hidden if one doesn't want to use it (view->toolbars->site search).

Seems to work perfectly as intended. My only gripe is that I have a whole new toolbar taking up space unnecessarily. Firefox already has a search box, why not use this?

I can never give a higher score to Site Search 1.0.4.
No unicode support make it useless for me and many others. Fat and uncustomizable toolbar lower my efficiency. Hint on the toolbar cannot change instantly as I change the search settings. Additionally, the "Current Site" setting means too far away from "current site" -- it can only search ".com.au" when I want it to search "amazon.com.au".

Still too much to do before becoming a literal "site search" addon.

this is great for when you want to search your favorite or most trusted sites in one step, instead of visiting each and relying on its search feature. The right-click feature is really cool, too.
