new version running smoothly on both Firefox and Thunderbird Rated 5 out of 5 stars
thanks for the update and work on this very interesting extension. You may wish to have your work more international, so I made a fully localized version to be grabbed here http://babelwiki.babelzilla.org/images/3/3e/Simple_steganography-localized_mod.xpi (added French locale) and you are welcome to submit it on babelzilla.org to get more locales from volunteer translators.-- goofyBabelZilla admin teamThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.1.4.3.1-signed.1-signed).
You are awesome! :-D
Thanks a lot for your work and the french locale. I will add a german locale next week, then submit the new version and add the extension to babelzilla.
Happy New Year!
message length not controlled Rated 4 out of 5 stars
hello, congrats for this interesting extension. There is probably a good potential as a "learning" tool (initiate to crypto as a hide and seek game)and why not as a serious way to protect one's messages from eavesdropping. Note that it could be more useful if ported to Thunderbird (to send directly encrypted messages in attached images). After a few successful tests it seems to me there is no control over messages exceeding 255 chars. I got an error pointing to Script : chrome://simplesteganography/content/simpleSteganography.js:199.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.1.1.1-signed.1-signed).
Thanks, will be fixed in next version
Hello, thanks for your useful review! Presumably, the limitation to 255 chars per image will be fixed in version 0.1.4 - it will be possible to hide far more chars, with better error handling. After the release of 0.1.4, maybe I will port it for thunderbird.
