Colors? FIXED - Terrific! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
UPDATE TO BELOW: As of the newest version, colors work again!1. The context menu no longer allows assigning a color to incoming mail.2. Colors are no longer applied to mail per rules set up until after the mail has been read. This is a shame as I used to be able to quickly scroll through mail for my "red list" items, etc.3. Upon installing the update, colors were (?!) REMOVED from items that had been assigned colors earlier. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.85).
Ceases Working Intermittently Rated 2 out of 5 stars
This repeatedly ceases to work (just like v2.8.1 and v 2.7.9 did). The only workaround I've found is to empty the cache and then reinstall v2.7.9 (or if you're using v2.7.9 reinstall v2.8.2). Just be sure you have a high enough "MaxVersion" in the install.rdf file for v.2.7.9.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.82).
Have you an error message ? If so which one?
did you try to install in a new clean profile ?

UPDATE: Same issue continues with v2.8.2.
V2.8.1 kept freezing in FF9, so I went back to 2.7.9 and adjusted the install.rdf to raise its compatibility level (I set it for FF10.) When this began to have increasingly frequent (but still intermittent) problems I tried v2.8.1 again, but it's the same issue: Simple Mail periodically fails to connect to the mail server. After a day or sometimes just an hour it works again. This is not a server issue, since Thunderbird works fine. Simple Mail was once the gold standard of reliability (although it lacked some features). Now it has features but is less and less reliable.
>> Update: Changed v2.7.9 Install.rdf to allow maxVersion=12.* and the revised v2.7.9 works with FireFox 11.
