Great extension that enhances the useful keyword search feature in Firefox. I wonder why this hasn't been updated here since it seems to work well in the current Firefox (6.02) and the beta version as well.

you had me at: multiple keyword searches the same keyword Rated 5 out of 5 stars

five stars for concept.. now to install and hope 'edit review' feels like functioning consistently

y, yy, yyy -- why?
y, y2, ... yn

it was very quickly becoming other than amusing

since 3.5 has included the functionality of this addon, so no need to update ... nice work harikaried ... imitation is best flattery .. you won in persuading FF team to include it as a default feature.

Writing an exit review: very useful time-saving extension I used throughout Firefox 3.0.x. Apparently this is now built-into Firefox 3.5 and above

Very useful Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is one of my main add-ons. It's so useful that I'd long forgotten that it wasn't part of the Firefox awesome bar's original functioning.

All of the search engines and websites with searches that I use I've assigned an abbreviation. I've also been able to sync. these across browsers usign the Foxmark add-on.

All very useful. Thank you.

This is a very useful add-on. Just like Konqueror's 'web shortcuts'.
Makes searching really fast. Now I don't have to select a search engine from drop-down list.

Spiked CPU Rated 1 out of 5 stars

For me, this caused repeated CPU spikes until uninstalled.

Doesn't seem to work..? Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Am I missing something? The only added functionality I see with this is underlined text in AwesomeBar keyword results, where before I believe I had just bold text.

The description leads me to think this is add-on is sort of like the CyberSearch add-on, allowing me to utilize my own smart keywords to do searching within the AwesomeBar dropdown, but it simply is not working for me, and I have nearly 100 keywords...

I had the same problem with CyberSearch not importing my keywords also, so I'm wondering if I'm missing something..? I am running Firefox 3.0.4 on Mac OS X 10.5.5.

Very nice, but... Rated 3 out of 5 stars

there are 2 details i'm missing (this would require the ability to add more that one keyword to each search engine, so that user could search only in one, if he wants to):

1 - what if i want to search in all of the search engines??? there should be a way to do this... For example... if type "S zxspectrum" it would show me the searches for zxspectrum on wikipedia, google, Addons, etc... and i could choose which ones to search/open

now this brings me to the 2º detail:

2 - in order to be able to use multiple searches, when i middle click a search - it will open it on a new tab - but this should not be focus... so that i could continue to select other places to search

this is why i only give 3 starts to this extension (and will disable it for now)

I am so pleased to discover this! Now I can search more effectively from the Awesome Bar. Maybe I can even retire the Search Bar and reclaim some toolbar space. Thank you.

Incredible and indespensible. Thank you. This was the one thing that was missing from the AwesomeBar. This paired with the Enter Selects extension gives me every functionality I want and need in the AwesomeBar.

Thanks, for this great add-on!

In my opinion, allowing users to search for bookmarks by keywords (in addition to tags) is a critical feature of Firefox 3 for backwards-compatibility to Firefox 2.

I have some 600 bookmarks, all with keywords and no tags!

One of those small features which can make your browsing easier. Too bad it didn't make it to the 3.0 release, but there's hope for the next version.

Works for bookmark keywords, but not for search engine keywords. :(
But that’s probably a good thing.

SearchBar with Version 3

Version 3 of the add-on shows the keyworded search engine results in addition to bookmark keywords.

This is nice, it's allowed me to get rid of the search bar completely.
