by deadeyejay, 2 months agoUsed to be good but recently seems to be poorly moderated, I have seen people who are blatantly trans friendly from one look at their profile marked as red for no reason? Who is approving this? If I can tell a person is trans friendly then a moderator whose job it is to do this definitely can. And if I am doing your job for you and better than you, then I may as well not be using your services.
Hopefully these instances are just a mistake or a dip in quality of moderation which is fixable, but from looking at other reviews it seems to be related to some discourse? Sorry are we in primary school? I do not partake in or follow online queer discourse could you imagine. But to self-sabotage and ruin a good reputation of something marginalised groups rely on as a lifeline in an often volatile and uncertain online sphere, over something as arbitrary as online discourse of all things is beyond petty and childish, it is dangerous and spreading misinformation.
Keep your discourse to reddit ot twitter or whatever people who argue on the internet use, and away from tools that actual adults use to keep themselves safe online. If you cannot moderate your own add-on properly and maturely, then don't bother keeping it up at all because something that is based on trust, fairness and common sense is rendered useless if you cannot be any of those things. Or better yet find someone who can be those things instead. I'm not saying this should be gone, I'm saying it needs someone who will moderate it properly or it may as well be gone. or a better alternative developed.
Not gonna bother using this anymore unless this addressed/fixed, as a queer person I know how to navigate the internet with my own senses and will happily do it again. But persecuted groups are relying on you and you are letting them down and contributing to already rampant harmful misinformation about them, which is the unforgivable part for me. And for what. Fix or I will drop and I hope others do too. Queer people deserve way better than this and way better than you who sells them out over internet drama apparently, along with your own integrity. Sad for queer people and embarrassing for you. Grow up and sort it out.

- Rated 5 out of 5by lr, 2 days agoLow-key sad this extension is being review bombed by transmisogynistic people from Tumblr, as the markings are accurate to the rest of social media for what I have seen
- Rated 1 out of 5by Lifeeternal, 3 days agoDevs are part of a subsect of cultish self hating trans people who hate anyone who see transgender men as men. They spout gender essentialist nonesense ands mark anyone who disagrees as red. This extension was good before they went off the deepend. Delete this extension, do not support trans people who succumbed to fascism and refuse to own up to it. BY THE WAY, suicide baiting people you disagree with is not posh, which is what trans radfems do. Sincerely, an INTERSEX AGENDER ANARCHIST. Fuck tankies, fuck nazis, and FUCK YOU.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Unable, 5 days agoReally good, I don't see why there are so many negative reviews. I'd recommend this for trans people in general.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18943350, 6 days agoNot helpful at all. Completely biased against non-woman gender-queer people and intersex people. Pretty much useless and needs a whole lot of improvement.

- Rated 1 out of 5by aidenthemonkey, 13 days agoDownloaded thinking it was useful but apparently it's biased against pretty much everyone who doesn't hate non-woman gender-queer people and intersex people???

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18428305, 15 days agoIt does not seem too work with instagram, otherwise quite a fun tool, makes it easier to determinee who is and isnt worth my time among other things
- Rated 1 out of 5by Jem, 16 days agoWouldn't recommend using this extension anymore. In the past I've noticed radfem accounts exploiting the "peer-review" bit to get trans people mass-reported as anti-trans/red in an attempt to ostracize them from their own community, so I knew the extension wouldn't last long, but I never would've expected it to be taken over by those exact same people.
I've seen transmascs marked as anti-trans, intersex people marked as anti-trans, BLM supporters focusing on trans PoC - you guessed it - marked as anti-trans, meanwhile accounts who are literally infamous for mocking the suicide of Eden Knight are marked as green/pro-trans. Even people who frequently use the "TERFs please touch" tag on tumblr are green now.
I wondered WTF was going on so I did some research just to find out the extension is run now by gender-essentialist, transmasc-excluding radfems who will mark you as anti-trans if you so much as acknowledge that transmasc or intersex people face oppression, and from what I've heard the developers have openly defended this decision, leaving me to believe it's 100% intentional and not just poor moderation.
Shinigami Eye was never entirely reliable, because you shouldn't rely on a peer-view extension to tell you who does and doesn't hate trans people, but now it's become the opposite of what it was made for. Long story short: this app is useless now and I doubt I'll ever be using it again. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17463486, 16 days ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by mcdonald, 23 days agoI have noticed a lot more people that are excliptly pro-trans getting marked red and being left red. a large amount of people who have never even said a single thing that could reasonably be construed as transphobic are getting marked as anti-trans despite being anything but. i am going to be ditching this extension since its become clear that the moderators of it are letting their own personal bigotry infect it.
you being trans doesnt erase the harm you are doing to your own community devs. - Rated 1 out of 5by It_has_thevoice, 24 days agothe current maintainer supports use of the term "theyfab" and other varietys of discrimination against trans men + mascs the straw that broke the camels back was a blog that reblogged and i quote"I hope small bean transmasc jakey falls on a spike and dissolves into putrid slime. All of you are softboy uwu hitlerites 3 months away from becoming actual fucking detrans terfs. Kill yourself." this blog was marked friendly to trans people bcuz obviously transandrophobia isnt real.
- Rated 1 out of 5by User, 24 days agoHave nothing against this extension, but extension about corruption and fundamental justice must be by the order of magnitude above in the list than this one (which is not current state), so just fixing sorting by dropping this one lower.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18904399, a month agoUsed to be fantastic, but now they're explicitly not filtering out malicious reports to mark transphobes as safe, normal trans people as transphobes, and for some reason they're REAL weird about nonbinary people, intersex people, and really enjoy the threats against transmascs.
So it goes. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18181944, a month ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18900983, a month agoI'd give this add-on zero stars if I could. Ever since it's change in ownership more and more anti-intersex and anti-transmasc blogs have been getting marked as trans-friendly and intersex and transmasc-friendly blogs have been wrongfully marked anti-trans.
You have to double check blogs now just to see whether someone was wrongly marked and the extension has become basically useless. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18895988, a month ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Eveline Rose, a month agoThis has made the internet so much safer for me. I understand people's concerns about false positives or negatives, although admittedly I haven't had this issue myself. Thank you for making the internet a safer place for trans people. <3
- Rated 2 out of 5by Beetle the SilkWing, a month agoAccurate *except* for intersex advocates, who get marked red. Vile if intentional.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Stitches, a month agoUsed to work, Now people who talk about trans men or intersex people are marked red and people who say vile things about them as well as literal anti-trans people are marked green. You have to do just as much research yourself now into every blog as without this.
