It won't automatically hightlightkeyword on new webpages. Rated 1 out of 5 stars
It won't automatically hightlightkeyword on new webpages., I have to click the hightlight button manually. It will only hightlight automatically on webpages you already manually highlighted. This plugin is useless, if I have to click manually, Ctrl+F already can search and highlight keyword without this plugin.
Show search words list and delete all search words. Rated 5 out of 5 stars
like the title say can you add these funtions? This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.
Launches automatically with new pages? Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I love this add-on, it restores a key function that I loved about the old Google Toolbar. One problem - often when I open a new tab, the highlighter will start automatically, for the new tab AND all previously open tabs. It then becomes necessary to click off the highlighter icon for each tab. Any thoughts?

Excellent addition, thanks to the author!
But from 50 version of firefox it freezes loading pages in a few seconds
Fix it please

But SearchTermHighlighter i like more, so please fix it.
Maybe just a Bold option? Rated 3 out of 5 stars
This add-on displays both highlighted colour and Bold text. Using Google Search is fine, because when i delete all the colours the default or white highlight doesn't show up - any other non-white page and the highlight is displayed as white. I'd just like a Bold option.
And it's not very smart, is it? Search engine: words in inverted commas are highlighted every time, but random keywords like transitions buttock plump (try it!) without inverted commas are not highlighted. And it highlights totally random words after I've entered a comment or post in a forum or social media (another option to enable highlighting in search results only would sort this).
The script broke when search too much words Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Firefox force me to stop the addon when I search words with large amount on webpages.
Firefox asks you to stop the script because he thinks it takes too much time to complete. This is how Firefox behaves for any script; it is not the fault of the add-on if there are many keywords to highlight in the page.
However, you can find an option in Firefox to set the time at which you wil be prompted to stop the script:
1. Type about:config in Firefox’s address bar.
2. Filter down to the value for dom.max_script_run_time.
3. Change the value to something higher than the default which is 5.

1. please provide a support email address.
2. i want to highlight search terms only in search engine page and pages opened from search pages. No other pages will be highlighted. How can i do that?
3. it seems to me page loading becomes slow after installing it.
To answer your questions:
1. Unfortunately, the add-on Website development has been aborted for some reasons, but I have planned to provide a support email address ASAP until the website is online.
2. I am not sure to understand clearly your second question, but if I guess well, you want to highlight keywords in the pages visited from search engine result pages only, and not in the subsequently visited ones ?
If you open a link in the same tab, there is no way to do this automatically. But if you open a link in a new tab, you can then click the toolbar button to disable highlighting in the new opened tab and in all pages opened from that tab as well.
3. I spend my life to measure how many nanoseconds it takes to execute a line of code! The add-on code is optimized at the ultimate point! To make short, the add-on begins to consume resources only once the page is loaded. In instance, assuming you have a medium speed computer and your browser is loading a large page containing a lot of keywords to highlight, you will notice the page is loading normally followed by the browser hanging some tens of milliseconds depending on the page length and the hit number.
And ... I could have sworn I saw a fourth question:
4. Please, provide a link for donations!
I like only five stars!
And ... thank you for your support.
Almost perfect, but there is one thing... Rated 5 out of 5 stars
...That could be improved:
Always than I look up a new page in the address line or simply google a new search, the last key words are gone. Could you please integrate a switch to turn this off? Or otherwise could you please integrate a save-option for a new search? Thanks for your APP, anyway!!!
THANKS! Would it be possible to save a search?
For example: I'm looking for people with certain skills. Every search is different, but it could be possible, that in two weeks I want to load the old search... Is there still an option I'missing?
The preference you are looking for exists and it's called: "Auto-clear keyword list". It's checked by default and will clear the keyword list if one of the following conditions is met:
- Opening a link from the bookmark menu or the personal bar.
- Opening a link from any history panel including Firefox address bar history menu.
- Entering an URL in Firefox address bar.
- When Firefox closes.
This option was implemented because it is assumed that the actions listed above break the correlation with the keywords of the previous search and the user wishes to clear the keyword list. Nevertheless, if you want to keep the keyword list, simply uncheck this preference, but be warned that the keyword list will be overridden by new keywords if you type them in a search engine, or if you click on a link leading to a search result page. If you want to keep forever the current keyword list, you will have to uncheck the "Enable keyword capture" preference as well.
Also, keep in mind that new captured keywords cannot be added to the current ones in the list. This is because the number of keywords would increase indefinitely, thus drastically impacting browser performances ... and it has no sense.
Search Term Highlighter can save only one set of keywords, meaning you cannot switch between different ones. But, if you bookmark a search result page, keywords belonging to that search will be automatically loaded when you recall that page, provided it's a search engine page and the "Enable keyword capture" preference is checked.
Hope this will meet your needs, and thanks for your support.
Salut grand chef ! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Nice add-on Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Very useful add-on. Saves a lot of printing and manual highlighting.
Is there a way to change language? My add-on is in German after the installation and I can't find anywhere to change language to English.
I found the translations in locale\ in the installation file so they are there.
For all add-ons, the language is automatically selected by Firefox according to your country. Search term highlighter is currently translated in twelve languages including English, of course.
What is the language for other installed add-ons? Can you manage to select another language for them? You can easily force the language default setting, but unfortunately, it is forbidden to help you here.

Me gusta este complemento para buscar en la página, se coloca arriba a diferencia del que trae Firefox y además te resalta los resultados con colores ¡enhorabuena al creador!.

Definitely Useful to highlight words or combination of words in text on web pages . Rated 5 out of 5 stars
It is a useful Add-on , at least for me . It highlights those words as well as combination of words which you enter into its tool bar . The good thing is that you can choose the highlighting color . It is easy to use and has more options/features than a similar Add-on called Phrase highlighter which I had installed but removed it after I found this one . The entered terms ( words or combinations ) are highlighted throughout the whole text on a web page and when you open next page , it automatically highlights the words without the need to re-enter words for each page . Also , I love that you can toggle the highlighting function ON Or OFF by single click over the icon of this Add-On , what else you want . Lol
Thank you for your support.
Don't forget that the add-on can capture keywords from any search engine if the "Enable keyword capture" preference is checked, so you don't have to enter them in the text box even once. Also, a new feature introduced in version 7.7 allows highlighting by double-clicking on a word in the page.
Please, read the developer's comments located at the end of this page to learn more about STH.

Green Scrolling arrows work on FF 38.0 on Mac OS X 10.6 ... Rated 5 out of 5 stars
... Snow Leopard, but it doesn't work on FF 38.0 running Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks or 10.10 Yosemite. I don't have a Mac running 10.7 or 10.8; nor do I want to upgrade my 10.6 to anything higher. There must be a change in Mac OS 10.7 or higher and/or FF 39 or higher, that prevents the scrolling from working. Can you research this issue, in order to fix the scrolling? Are there any other Mac users who can verify that it's not working on their systems, too?
I hope this helps you if you decide to investigate further. If not, I can live without scrolling.
Scrolling works on Firefox 41. If I could reproduce the issue you are facing, I would investigate further, but as I said, add-ons should be OS independent.
