A must-have for SEO, I usually switch off the SEO metrics checker, like Pagerank and Alexa rank, when I need these data, click on the addon icon and they appear.
Strongly recommend not turn on real-time metrics checking, that will make Google blacklists your IP
Remplit à la perfection ce pour quoi elle a été créée : afficher rapidement le pagerank et bien d'autres options supplémentaires comme afficher le whois d'un nom de domaine.
Inévitable pour tout SEO qui se respecte...
Just the best SEO Firefox plugin, a must-have! Thanks for your job Craig.
Anyone else have a problem with the compete info just showing n/a ? I'm using version 1.42 with FF15. have turned off privacy, tried uninstall and reinstalling as well.
Anyone know of any settings i can tweak that might be causing this ?
And yes i have tried clicking it (it just flashes on and off to "unranked")
This app works great for me. Really it is very good
A clean and discrete all in one tool for optimizing your web pages and a lot more it doesn't conflict with other plugins.
Perfect plugin, but EATS memory!!!
As a webmaster, this is the best plugin to monitor your status in page rank, alexa ranking and more exciting function. Like knowing no follow links. Awesome and the best package as SEO tools.
This is an excellent way to easily view the Google PageRank and Alexa rankings of websites. I also like the ability to highlight NoFollow links and the links to quickly view a site's Whois info, Archive.org, and others.
One suggestion I have is to insert the icons using a standard method, where the icons can be arranged using Firefox's toolbar Customize function. Right now, its arranged using an option relative to other icons, which isn't as great. In addition, the icons frequently fail to appear when first on a cold boot until I go to the Add-on Options and press OK again.
I am using Search Status since 2008 and it is a very handy tool due to the nature of my job. It is a free addon that helps me analyze stuff that is offered by paid expensive SEO software.
It is a perfect addon to check and analyze pages in terms of SEO. If you are an SEO, then this addon is highly recommended.
Excellent plugin. Metric very reliable, easy and fast use, solid performance. You can copy the data to include in an external report. To improve: Copy all data at one time or CSV
I don't why once after a while it would be off function for some time. Every month there would be once.Is that caused by google's update or something else??
Anyway,it's easy to use.And thank you for such a good add on.
Extremely useful addon for SEO. Only problem is Alexa->"show traffic details" for blogspot subdomains - brings back traffic details for blogspot rather than the specific blog.
i prefer chrome / chromium browser, but can still be found using firefox because i appreciate the searchstatus plugin so much.
Used to be great, but now I always have to click on the icons to get the Alexa and Page Rank. Before just hovering with the mouse was enough.
You have activated the privacy feature. To deactivate go into Options, second tab.

I deleted my old profile and created a new one. It didn't fix the problem.
I don't see any messages in the Error Console about the extension.
Do you see any messages in the Tools -> Error Console that might help debug this?
Love your add-on, been using it for years. I'm having the same problem as holygamer, only slightly worse. When I open FF, searchstatus (heretofor: ss) will not show on any toolbar. If I go to the ss options and simply press OK without changing anything, it will show up, otherwise I can't see it. This happens every time I start FF. FF8 had the problem of not remembering where I put it and now in 9.0.1 it will not show up unless I do as described above.
I created a new profile, as you suggested, didn't change anything other than installing ss and it does the same thing. Start FF > no ss > ss options > press ok > shows up
Edit: It suddenly started working correctly. Best I can tell it has something to do with the right of part. If I set it anywhere other than the 1st option on right of it will not show on restart. If I put it on the first one, it still shows up all the way to the right. I also noticed it shows up on the add-on bar all the time so that works. Also, no errors on console. Anyway, it's working so I'm not messing with it anymore. Thanks!
Can you check the Error Console (Tools -> Web Developer) and see if there are any errors on startup?
Sometimes can't work properly. The do follow links will be highlight too.
Doesn´t work well.
Page Rank and Alexa Rank are sometimes different from "official" sources and sometimes aren´t visible at all.
It worked well in the past, but now there are too many flaws.
First I've heard of it. Can you provide an example?
Una gran herramienta, muchas felicidades...
Great tool to check Alexa rank, page rank and many mind blowing features...
I saw the recommendation for this add on on a 'You Tube' video as I am working on a couple of seo projects. So far so good and will continue to use.
On the official plugin version, the PR feature has stopped working, since Google changed their Page Rank URL recently.
To fix, get SearchStatus v1.38 from the author's website: http://www.quirk.biz/searchstatus/
Finally it works for FF 7.0.1. At least for me. Thanks for updating the addon.
