Excellent stuff: Got rid of that infantile web site & "search engine" called Iminent, when all else failed. Thank You!
(Note: Iminent installed itself when I downloaded what I thought was bona fide sofware for a video player from "UM"...Beware!)

Call me stupid but I cant figure out how to use this. Download it, cant find it ANYWHERE and ive reset the browser several times. Or it just doesnt work.

After installation, this add-on uninstalls itself immediately - you won't see it appear anywhere after that. If it wasn't able to reset your search settings, perhaps you have more invasive malware installed. You might consider searching or posting to https://support.mozilla.org for additional help.

Shame! Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It didn't work for me, I'm afraid. This page: http://www.trovigo.com/?ctid=CT3319434&octid=EB_ORIGINAL_CTID&SearchSource=69&CUI=&SSPV=&Lay=1&UM=2&UP=SP8A672E22-66D8-46D6-8868-C10B2BDB7BBB had set itself as the default address when a new tab is opened and I'd tried changing browser.newtab.url but it wouldn't accept the change so I tried this add-on instead. Yes, it reset my home page (meaning I have to put it back to what I had before which was fine) but it didn't change the new tab default page. Sorry!

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

What a beautiful piece of software Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I installed something that set all my pages to Search Conduit and after I removed it, all my settings were still pointing to the Search Conduit sites. This sorted me out.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Somehow my address bar search kept taking me to ask.com, even though I could find no evidence that anything from ask was installed. This solved the problem immediately!

Finally, an easy way to reset your search engine Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Sooner or later some sorry sister search engine will be substituted for your search engine by a sleazoid who will add a poor excuse for a search and replace your default search engine, Google.

It used to take a registry hack to remove this junk from your system so it didn't keep replacing Google search.

Thanks to this simple and quick solution, you can dump the junk search and reset your browser to use Google search in an instant. Install restart done.

Congratulations to the developers for fixing problems caused by corporations who try to force us to use their products instead of actually improving them to the point we want them.
