Why was Scrum for Trello created?
We use Trello for our Scrum projects and we manage an add-on called "Burndown for Trello" which creates burndown charts for each Trello board. Our users have told us that one of the easiest ways for them to enter their estimates was to use the "Scrum for Trello" Chrome extension. To be accessible for more of our users, we thought it'd be great if we could bring that extension to Firefox also.
The code for the "Scrum for Trello" Chrome extension was on github, so after securing permission from the author, we set about to get it running in Firefox. After a bit of wrestling... it works! :D We hope your business and/or side-project benefits from being able to use this extension. We'd also encourage you to check out BurndownForTrello.com to chart your progress.
What's next for Scrum for Trello
In the future, we think it would be awesome if we could allow BurndownForTrello users the ability to view their burndown charts right on Trello.com without leaving the page. In the short-term, we'll be making sure to fix any bug-reports we get (we should be able to fix them in both Chrome and Firefox) and make sure that our code is kept in-sync between the two extensions. Scrum for Trello was a great idea that was very graciously released by Q42, and it's nice to be able to chip-in with some of the maintenance. Two independent businesses chipping in to make it easier for other businesses to do business! Brilliant!
