I definitely need to add it to the Navigation Toolbar or assign a shortcut to enable/disable it. No one wants to see add-on bar there days.

Exactly what I needed Rated 4 out of 5 stars

How are you guys using this addon now that the status bar disappears unless you're hovering over a link etc o.O Can we get a button to put in the toolbar or something?

*I see you have to enable the addon-bar now to access the scrolly icon button. This takes up alot of space can you please impliment an icon we can add under toolbar customize options ?

scrollyfox Rated 5 out of 5 stars

a must have :):)
Great new firefox 20.0 is out :) :) :)

Good but scrolling speed too low on big pages, scrolling speed needs to work the same for all pages and should be made independent of how big the page is Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This addon is very very useful, no doubt about this.
I use it a lot.
The scrolling speed is too slow, I scaled down the this.Interval by 5X (from *5 to *1) and it had the required speed effect by increasing max scrolling speed on some webpages.
This might not be a full fix, but it works to speed up the scrolling on pages with few screen fulls of lines, did not try fix on too big pages like facebook though.

A proper fix is required where the scrolling speed should be made independent of page size.

Thanks for this great addon, you may want to consider updating this addon by making scrolling speed work exactly same on all pages independent of how big the page is, (when we press pagedown in firefox, the scrolling height on the screen is exactly same however big the pages are, this addon needs to just behave like firefox!)

Good idea. The max scrolling speed is way to low. It would take hours for it to get to the bottom of my facebook friends list - it's literally crawling. On other pages, the max isn't so slow. It needs an option to automatically scroll when a new page is loaded (no button press required), and then go to the top, and STOP, rather than just start scrolling down again. (I would love to have the source code for this. I would develop it further. I don't have time to learn making Firefox plugins. If I had everything that's required for this in a zip-file, I would update the code. I am a programmer - mike88 another 8 at fastmail dot fm.

Works Great Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Looks like the other people that review this addon has no idea how it works?

You can adjust the speed simply by right clicking on the icon.
Does what I want it to, scrolls down while deselected.

does not work.... Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Great idea....but does not work appear to work on the bbc news site, nor on the new york times.
This is actually, the third time Im editing this review. The add-on does not appear to work on several site.

Great, but... Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I don't know why you would limit the application of this extension to reading speeds. I was so excited to find this addon, then so disappointed when I saw that the scroll speed was limited to a snail's pace.

would it be too much to ask that the scroll speed be allowed to go up to 1000? or 5000? I don't see why it shouldn't be.

And what about auto scrolling tabs on a tab by tab basis instead on only the active tab? (ie selective background tab auto scrolling)

minor tweaks, major benefit :)

Thanks for putting this out there though!

It's a good job. But If the HTML page is not bigger than the screen, it is not reloaded.

Does what it says it does. And it works just fine for me in the Firefox Nightly 11 builds when I ignore compatibility checking.

Alternatives to ScrollyFox Rated 5 out of 5 stars

EXCELLENT SOFTWARE! I've found this so useful when reading stories on the web. But since the developer is no longer keeping up with new versions of Firefox, does anyone know of an alternative? Someone mentioned "scrollloper", but that does not actually seem to exist? Was it misspelled?

отличная программа но хотелось бы скорость выставлять больше 100
А ещё страничка при прокрутке иногда застревает на пол секунды

This works really well BUT, and it's a big BUT for me, the slowest speed options are too fast for my needs. If the speed range could be significantly extended at the slow end it would get 5 stars from me.

Like someone else here I'm using this for guitar tabs and on slow songs it is just too fast. I know I can overcome this by spacing and formatting the page differently but it would be much better if this add on could be enhanced to offer slower scrolling speeds.

That said, thanks a lot for making ScrollyFox available

Works great. My only complaint and future feature I would love to see is the option to enable this on one tab and not all tabs.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. It's true that even the slower speeds are still quite quick; but I don't mind that so much, as it helps *me* to speed up a bit!

I second the request for a keyboard shortcut - Ctrl+space or Alt+space would be logical.

Even speed 1 is very fast. if you can please make it slower! Thanks.

In addition please chose a shortcut key in keyboard.
