I just wanna the screenshot button on the toolbar, not the context menu of webpage, because the context menu is too long.
Can the author offer an option to do that. thanks a lot.
Or you can add the menu item to the right-click-tab-context-menu. I think it's more initiative especially when I always want to get a whole page screenshot.
great app - but with FF at 10.0.2 it now is as useful as screengrab ;-)
Thank you! This is definitely the best and simplest screenshoter for Firefox.
I just wanna tell you one idea to improve it's functionality. The addon puts it's button to Firefox toolbar. But this is place mostly for frequently used navigation buttons, and the better place for addons like Screenshoter is status bar. But Screenshoter's icon is bigger than standart icon for status bar, and if I place Screenshoter to the status bar it (status bar) changes it's size and becomes wider than it should be. If you, dear Alexei, add possibility to move Screenshoter icon to the status bar and it wouldn't change statusbar size - would be just wonderful!
Crisp, clean interface. It's literally two clicks to save a whole screen, and two more to save a selection. Best part is that it triggers a standard Firefox download, making it easy to open and find the file. About as intuitive as you can probably get.
Simple. Clean. Effective. Best screenshot addon, with no useless options. I also think it could be slighlty improved, but it is purely "cosmetic" :
- Totally agree for a smaller icon to use in the addons bar (the present icon enlarge the bar)
- Some options to remember or change the save folder at will.
Very good ultra-light screenshot addon.
There are some thing I think should be improved:
- Add a smaller icon to use in the addons bar (the present icon enlarge the bar!)
- Add "save page as image" in the "Save page as..." menu.
- Allow to change key shortcuts: I can't use ctrl+shift+M because it conflicts with another function.
Absolutely fab add-on - irreplacable one you've tried it.
Simple, yet so useful for the everyday snapshots of complete web pages - or, i you just need a smaller selection of the webpage, simply choose "selection" from the right click menu, and mark up the selection you want :o)
Top grades on this one!
This add-on is 5-stars! Here's why..
You're now equipped with 2 Hotkeys:
(Ctrl+M) - Save Complete Page
(Ctrl+Shift+M) - Save Selected Region (drag a rectangular region to capture)
and a big toolbar button resembling an old 35mm camera, which is customizable. I use it to - Save Visible Page.
The 5-stars comes from its simplicity and the no questions asked policy when saving, you tell it the folder and it appends the date & time to the Filename for you. :)
My only request would be to add a 3rd Hotkey to Save Visible Page. Even without the feature, this add-on is still better than the others I've tested. Thanks Alexei.
Will silently fail on large pages. Because Fx canvas has limits... but don't worry, all other extensions that doesn't rely on some plugin or binary code does ;)
PERFECT! Thanks a lot...
Work like a charm, thanks a lot !
Please, screenshot wit support FLASH.
Easy, fast and simple. Does exactly what I looked for and a bit more, that I like. Saves selectable parts, viewable area or the whole page. You can predetermine a folder to save to or choose one as you save. Offers hotkeys for "Save complete page" and "Save seletcion". Just the right amount of options. Very nice!
Oh, stop whining. It's fine.
This seems like a nice little add-on, however it has one major flaw - it totally ignores the title of the current page while taking a screencap! For example, making a screencapture on this site, it will auto-name the file "addons.mozilla.org date-and-time .png" regardless of what page you currently are viewing! It makes finding relevant screencaptures later on nearly impossible, unless you manually rename every screencapture you take. Very frustrating...
Simple, fast and small.
Very nice add-on but I have a problem: I can move its icon between the menu bar and the add-on bar but if I remove it from both (so that I can use it only through the context menu), it reappears on the menu bar after a Firefox restart.
UPDATE: I thought I had fixed this review and my rating. The abovementioned issue is my fault, the addon does handle the case correctly.
Superb! Minimalistic and perfectly working.
5 stars, good addon
You made a great addition! But it would even better if copy/save could be done with right button click. THANKS!
Simple, fast, just perfect :)
-It really does the job properly in Firefox 5 (the Addon that I used before I stopped working in Firefox 5, so I found it), I recommend it, and the icon size is correct 1280x1024 resolution LCD monitor (square screen relationship) , thank you very much for your great work, easy to set up "options" to suit the user.
This addon is very simple to use and is fast, however it's icon is too big and makes the toolbar in Firefox 4 stretch and appear taller if you're using small toolbar icons. Moving the addon's icon to browser's bottom toolbar is even worse. You also have to specify a location for saving files in config and cannot select location when file is saved.
It does what it's supposed to do... that's enought! ;)
