DOES NOT WORK AT ALL WITH FIREFOX 18.0.1

Nice plugin, however if you want to copy a selection at the bottom of a long scrolled down page it does not display the selected area on the page, but the corresponding area in the viewport as if you were at the top of the page.

Workaround Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I have at least got a work around for this nice add-on.
Copy what you want to save to the clipboard with the copy option. Then use some image editor such as Gimp (Linux) paste the image into a new one and save. A bit cumbesome, but from all the screenshot programs available it is abou the onlt one which works in this way wit FF18.
All the screen shot add-ons have similar problems at this stage, they do not save to disk...

This user has a previous review of this add-on.

Screenshoter 1.01 doesn't work anymore with Firefox 18. Please update. Thank you.

Fireshot stopped working when I moved to Waterfox so I ended up testing about a dozen screenshot addons & this was the best of the lot.

It's incredibly simple & fast, I wish I'd have known about it earlier. Thanks very much!

Works perfectly with firefox (iceweasel) 16.0.1 This addon do what a screenshoot addon is supposed to do and it's easy to use.

There's no stupid ads ! (thanks alot for that !)

best screen capture for this version of ff Rated 5 out of 5 stars

works perfect and i think it generates the shot faster.

Handy, useful, just... Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I'd like to have the option for cropping the selection, functionality was everything I expected.

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

loaded it, all functionality was exactly what I wanted, but that darn random pic problem is real - it was taking shots of things about 3cm higher than where I was selecting it. Shame, once fixed will be perfect I think.

good but ... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I can confirm the same bug which DarcsFalcon noticed (in the review below mine):
"After the 2nd or 3rd screenshot taken, the "camera" seems to choose random portions on the page, and not the section I've highlighted for capture."

Alexei Matveev , I hope you would fix it.
Thanks

This add-on seemed great at first, especially after the issues with FireShot. However, I have noticed that after the 2nd or 3rd screenshot taken, the "camera" seems to choose random portions on the page, and not the section I've highlighted for capture. It isn't a dependable product so I'm uninstalling. I feel bad, it had a lot of potential.

Kapitalny skrinszuter. Skrinuje wszystko co widzi, min. flesza.

Finally Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Finally a screenshot addon that just works. It doesn't spam you, doesn't want you to upgrade to the premium version, doesn't nag you, doesn't need your email address or you to "sign in" etc.

It just takes screenshots. Thank you so much.

Hi! Thanks for the extension. I don't know how to contact you, but you may want to consider making your extension compatible with seamonkey, too.

Everything you need to do is to add this like to chrome.manifest:

overlay chrome://navigator/content/navigator.xul chrome://screenshoter/content/ff-overlay.xul

And add Seamonkey application in install.rdf:

<em:targetApplication>
<Description>
<em:id>{92650c4d-4b8e-4d2a-b7eb-24ecf4f6b63a}</em:id>
<em:minVersion>2.0</em:minVersion>
<em:maxVersion>2.15.*</em:maxVersion>
</Description>
</em:targetApplication>

Thanks!

Fantastic! All other screenshot addons should uninstall themselves and install this :-)

Thank you! finally a free screen shot addon without the malware crap. I was already thinking of rolling my own but you saved the day!

Best I have found Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Works… No excessive junk…Able to copy to clipboard…Icon can be moved to custom location.

While the "screenshoter" spelling made me sceptic first, that extension worked well for me, across some firefox installations on different systems, and across some firefox updates now.
It saved portions, or the whole browser window always exactly as expected.
And why not a maximum rating ?
Because it fills the valuable space beside the address field with a useless black camera icon.
I'd really appreciate that icon to be removed.
