I seriously love scrapbook.
Its really helpful to me what with school, and even my own personal researching and net surfing.
The combine function and ability to export my bookmarks without incident allows me to keep my folders clean, while still saving my favorite sites.

I've been using this extension for a long time and generally it works well. However, since Firefox 3 came out the annotation and highlighting tools have been broken. You try and mark or highlight text and it disappears. The developer has removed the forums and support section from his website and does not respond to emails. So there is no way to report bugs or seek help from other users.

I've used Scrapbook happily for a long time with FF2, but with FF# drag-and-drop of a URL no longer works. The only way I can capture is to right-click on the page. Can't find any way to submit this and it's definitely detracting from the product.

Fatal Flaws Rated 1 out of 5 stars

According to a tutorial on the home page, the developer offers a forum and a questionnaire. That is erroneous. The site offers an e-mail link to the webmaster, at which (my) communication goes unanswered.

Since the search facility fails in my installation the add-on is effectively useless; since there is no way to inform the developer of this, the project is a complete washout. It's too bad; in FF 2 it was good.

3.5 and website down Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The website of this great extension seems to be down. We have to it with http://web.archive.org/web/20080208083205/http://amb.vis.ne.jp/mozilla/scrapbook/ and http://74.125.77.132/search?q=cache:amb.vis.ne.jp/mozilla/scrapbook/ until this is fixed.

This is also my last extension that needs to be updated to 3.5. So please make sure it's fully compatible with 3.5?! Thanks in advance!!

Great tool, a few features would be nice Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Still like the extension.

Multi scrapbooks change the game. An on-the-fly (no call up alt-k sidebar) select menu between scrapbooks would be crucial for improved functionality, to be able to switch between scrapbooks in near-real time.

Any chance for this to be implemented?

Scrapbook totally rocks, especially now that it's available for FF #3! You can use it as a research tool, like one other reviewer does, or you can use it to merely collect cool pages you might not get to right away, or, you can use it to collect photos from online photo sites like Flickr--just like a real time scrapbook (just without all the bells and bobbles that are popular with the scrapbooking hobby. ;-)) No matter how you use it, Scrapbook is a boon to ANYone who surfs the 'Net.

NEW: Sticky Annotations Problem! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Yes, I have the same problem as FiNa LaNa. The text from all my sticky annotations created in Scrapbook+FF2 has disappeared! All that I have left is big, empty yellow boxes!

Is there a better way to communicate this issue to the developers?

An option to just capture and download everything should be available. One Click and it just downloads everything you visit, one click disable.

Create Sticky Annotation - does this work properly in FF 3.0? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Hi all,

just upgraded to Firefox 3.0.

I noticed, the Sticky Annotations look new - all yellow. I could create them, but I couldn't figure out how to delete them.

Also, Annotations created with FF 2.0.0.* appear as EMPTY yellow boxes - are they lost??

Anyone experienced this as well?

Cheers!

this is the best add-on for archiving pages and pertinent links to your local disc for future reference or if you are totally old-school for "offline viewing." I use it all the time for math problem sets I find strewn across various URLs. I clean up the pages with the build in tools and save the links that are relevant. great for things I don't know when I'll look at.

Definitely one of my essential add-ons. Working as a legal assistant, this is the perfect tool for my research. I'll use the software to capture a webpage, which I can easily go over later, dissecting the information and making notes and highlights within the browser. Highly recommended.

fiefox 3 integration Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Firstly, great extension. I mean it's fantastic.
Now with firefox 3 though, it would be great if you could integrate it with the 'library', so I can manage everything in one go. Cheers!

Up there with the best! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Been using ScrapBook for almost two years and would be lost without it.

Suggestion:
would be nice to be able to update captured forms. Tried to add additional info to a captured form - although I was able add the info, I couldn't save or recapture the new information without having to return to the source page.

Keep up the good work.
