According to a tutorial on the home page, the developer offers a forum and a questionnaire. That is erroneous. The site offers an e-mail link to the webmaster, at which (my) communication goes unanswered.
Since the search facility fails in my installation the add-on is effectively useless; since there is no way to inform the developer of this, the project is a complete washout. It's too bad; in FF 2 it was good.
The website of this great extension seems to be down. We have to it with http://web.archive.org/web/20080208083205/http://amb.vis.ne.jp/mozilla/scrapbook/ and http://22.214.171.124/search?q=cache:amb.vis.ne.jp/mozilla/scrapbook/ until this is fixed.
This is also my last extension that needs to be updated to 3.5. So please make sure it's fully compatible with 3.5?! Thanks in advance!!
Still like the extension.
Multi scrapbooks change the game. An on-the-fly (no call up alt-k sidebar) select menu between scrapbooks would be crucial for improved functionality, to be able to switch between scrapbooks in near-real time.
Any chance for this to be implemented?
good job! but capture multiple url is not support save same profile in capture page as.If you can do.It's soCool !!!!!!!!!
Better than a Swiss Army knife!
Handy is not the word for this! It`s most useful add-on that I have.
Scrapbook totally rocks, especially now that it's available for FF #3! You can use it as a research tool, like one other reviewer does, or you can use it to merely collect cool pages you might not get to right away, or, you can use it to collect photos from online photo sites like Flickr--just like a real time scrapbook (just without all the bells and bobbles that are popular with the scrapbooking hobby. ;-)) No matter how you use it, Scrapbook is a boon to ANYone who surfs the 'Net.
Yes, I have the same problem as FiNa LaNa. The text from all my sticky annotations created in Scrapbook+FF2 has disappeared! All that I have left is big, empty yellow boxes!
Is there a better way to communicate this issue to the developers?
An option to just capture and download everything should be available. One Click and it just downloads everything you visit, one click disable.
just upgraded to Firefox 3.0.
I noticed, the Sticky Annotations look new - all yellow. I could create them, but I couldn't figure out how to delete them.
Also, Annotations created with FF 2.0.0.* appear as EMPTY yellow boxes - are they lost??
Anyone experienced this as well?
this is the best add-on for archiving pages and pertinent links to your local disc for future reference or if you are totally old-school for "offline viewing." I use it all the time for math problem sets I find strewn across various URLs. I clean up the pages with the build in tools and save the links that are relevant. great for things I don't know when I'll look at.
Simply the best - Thanks a lot Gomita
Definitely one of my essential add-ons. Working as a legal assistant, this is the perfect tool for my research. I'll use the software to capture a webpage, which I can easily go over later, dissecting the information and making notes and highlights within the browser. Highly recommended.
The best Firefox extension hands down!
Firstly, great extension. I mean it's fantastic.
Now with firefox 3 though, it would be great if you could integrate it with the 'library', so I can manage everything in one go. Cheers!
Been using ScrapBook for almost two years and would be lost without it.
would be nice to be able to update captured forms. Tried to add additional info to a captured form - although I was able add the info, I couldn't save or recapture the new information without having to return to the source page.
Keep up the good work.
Great add on. I would recommend an option where the web pages can be save without automatically refreshing the page first.
My most used Add-on. Helps me as researcher tremendously! It is so worthy to learn using all its features.
The most important tool in organising information from the web!
This is a 'must have' extension! Really great.
But still have a few wishes. Eliminate hi[S]tory and [S]crapBook hotkey collision. When sidebar is shown (alt+K) focus should go there. Think of keyboard-only usage, please.
Sorry, guys, please disregard my previous review about export folder. I found how to set it, everything's fine.
Anyway, approvals sustain :))
Very nice add-on! Does fantastic job!
But I noticed that it is not possible to change folder for exporting data. Once you set the folder everything is exported there, without possibility to change it ever again?! Would be convenient to have setting for that, or somebody knows where is this written and can be changed manually?
Very much helpful.
Very very great Extension!
But i find it a little confusing, that every item opens in a NEW Tab! Can u please add an option for opening the Notes in an existing tab - like the normal Bookmarks do.
Tanks a lot!
