I use this add-on everyday. It does an excellent job at saving content and allowing annotations.
Recently, I was having some of my scrapbook items saving correctly but they wouldn't show on retrieval - the cause was several lines added by WebChunks into the index.css file. Once I removed those lines everything was working correctly. I uninstalled WebChunks and all's well.

Absolutely One of the Very Best Tools Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is an extraordinary tool , extraordinarily well conceived, implemented that is a must-have.
As convenient, easy to use as the standard Firefox bookmarking tool with a link to Scrapbook directly in Firefox's top toolbar row.

I use it as my primary bookmarking tool but has many features not found anywhere else such as the ability to preserve any site stored as an image plus every link down to 9 levels to safe keep valuable information that might not be available on sites you merely bookmarked.
**A must have.**

Complementary to Zotero Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This is a very god complementary add-in to Zotero. Easy to download all or part of a website. It was working great (5 stars in WinXP Pro).

BUG: sorry but the add-in support page has no place to report bugs that I could find. On Mac OS X 10.5.6, FF3.0.5, Scrapbook 1.3.3.9, I tried to migrate a legacy WinXP Scrapbook folder. In Options>Organize I specified the path to the existing files. The "Save data to" field shows this new path even after restarting FF.3.0.5. however, when I check Scrapbook>Check Directory, it shows the default directory in the user profile. How do I get Scrapbook directory to change so that Scrapbook is in sync with itself? When I copied the legacy WinXP Scrapbook folder to the default dir in the profile, Scrapbook read the data fine and displayed the entries as expected.

Some problems with installation Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This plugin really helps organise information for research projects and also tit bits in general.
I had problems installing it and found that "Microsoft .NET framework assistant 1.0" plugin stopped it from working. Disabling the .NET plugin sorted the problem though - please add this on the troubleshooting section of the dev site.

Great for info hoarding Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is a great add-on, but I don't use it often. however I kept it and I'll try using it more ofter. I think it's just too good and clever to pass up. I like the complexity. keep up the good work!

Information Organizer Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It organizes information assets and the storage of the information well. ScrapBook proves useful for the retrieval of web research and project management information. It was a pleasure working with the extension. It shares well and is easy to effectively use.

Minor annoyances Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Unfortunately, it seems no longer possible to leave feedback at the developer's site.

Finding one of many folders is difficult. The search function does not search for folder names. Even if a comment is added to a folder, it is ignored; only comments attached to captured pages and bookmarks are actually searched. I don't think that's intended, so I consider it a bug.

Still a great extension.

THIS IS WHY I USE FIREFOX!

I will never switch as long as I have Scrapbook working - Even Google notes does not even come close in terms of ease of use compared to Scarpbook!

ScrapBook IS THE BEST ADDON I use every day.

WHAT ELSE CAN YOU ASK FOR????

You can clip portions of a web page and save it ON YOUR HARD DISK for fast speed - You can also save the entire web page (with all the pictures and live links) just by right clicking on a menu items. - Storage is made easy with an explorer like tree structure - Right clicks gives you easy access to the last 5 places where you last saved web pages or clips of web pages. THIS IS SOMETHING GOOGLE NOTES DOES NOT DO!!!!

ALSO YOU CAN EDIT WHAT YOU SAVED: highlights, adding notes, underlining important text and delete sections that you don't need anymore

As I said what else can you ask for?

Fantastic add on. I consider this and NoScript the two essential add-on for FireFox. I look forward to new versions of this.

ScrapBook is a most useful tool which I have grown to rely upon since first installing it 6 months ago.
I am continually amazed at the quality of this plugin, and at all the little details which have been implemented so wonderfully. Thank you Gomita, whoever you are, you rock!

Never any problems Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Scrapbook was the reason I moved over to Firefox a few years ago. I've been using it almost on a daily basis & have never encountered any serious problems. For anyone into building their own archives, Scrapbook is perfect.
Thanks for the continuing development.
