Version 1.0.3 has definitely improved, resolving the two critical problems that were present in the previous version. As stated in the documentation (which, by the way, is clear and explicative) this add-on still does not create fully compliant MAFF files, and opening the generated files might fail in some cases, but overall it does the job it was designed for.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.3).
