This is an excellent extension that works beautifully in Pale Moon (which will support XUL/XPCOM indefinitely). I use multiple browsers and multiple profiles, and sometimes I need to see a passward stored in one profile but not another. The toolbar button makes it so much easier to call up the password, rather than go through Edit » Preferences » Security » Saved Passwords ! Saves lots of steps!
Hope you will also provide SeaMonkey support!
Hi, really nice handy extention.
Any chances to port it to WebExtentions?
I've tried a couple different password button addons. I love that this one shows the current web site when you click to open the Save Passwords window.
Edit: No longer compatible with Firefox 57 (Firefox doesn't let extensions link to the preferences pages any more). The closest alternative I found was to go to about:preferences#privacy and bookmark the page. You can even add a keyword (like "pw" to the bookmark, so you just have to type "pw" in the address bar to open the privacy settings). It doesn't open the password window, but gets you one click away.
Love this. It simplifies my life. I click on the button and it shows me sign-information for that page! If I want to know my password, I just click. Nifty little helper.
Firefox used to fill in my passwords automatically, but, since they stopped allowing this, "Saved Passwords" is the next, best thing.
I agree with another review poster, that it would be nice to have the option of keeping "show password" automatic, instead of requiring a click.
Simple and easy
This addon is quite useful and works well.
Works perfectly in Firefox 13.01. Windows 7. Does exactly what the developer said it would.
Would like to see an option for it to display passwords automatically every time rather than having to click "Show Passwords". Otherwise excellent.
Button does not appear in Firefox 13 (Windows7 platform)
Nice, would really like to see some button to directly go to current sites cookies too.
And perhaps add an option to add it as a rightclick context menu item.
Great for me as I use very often different passwords. But I would prefer if you could turn off that "Auto-Filter"-function (If you are on a website and click the button then the filter is automatically set to that url). Would be awesome. Thanks
Nice but QuickPasswords does this and more...
Very useful!!! It works excellent...
Handy but please add preferences to:
1) hide/ show passwords (value ´show´ by default)
2) search passwords of either all (sub)domains or only (sub)domain of current tab (´current tab´ by default)
3) add/ remove red colored ´Tools´ menu-item (value ´remove´ by default)
4) add/ remove button to Navigation toolbar (value ´add´ by default)
Nice, thats what i was looking for.
Could be even better with preferences where i could switch on by default the visibility of all passwords, without the two annoying clicks for "Show Passwords" and "Yes i really want to see them" - humbug.
It works fine on FF3.6.3:2010040108539. No problems as of 4/17/10. There's not much to go wrong. All it does is open a window, and wonder of wonders, it retains resize and last position! Many others do not.
Doesn't work on FF 3.6.3/OS X 10.6?
I love it, thanks!
Thanks, it's very handy.
