Love it, simple as it should be and very useful. Saved me after Pocket annoyed the hell out of me. Please update for Firefox Quantum. Also, in my opinion it should keep the interactions and the functionality how they are but it could use a little design - a fresh look. :)
please update it， because i cannot live without this brilliant add-on！
My absolute TOP. Very please for Firefox Quantum version, because I can not live without it!
Simple to use. Very useful. PLEASE MAKE IT COMPATIBLE WITH FF 57. I really miss it!
OR, as an alternative, let users of FF 57 use this and other "legacy" extensions--with caveats, so users can decide for themselves!
Great add-on for quickly marking a site to return to later.
Работает в "Firefox 56.0.2", и надеюсь ещё долго проработает в "Firefox ESR"...
Firefox's idiot move to force xpi signing and stupid compatibility checks that can't be overridden is driving me back to Chrome. Save-To-Read is the single most important add-on, and it's worked through several versions of "incompatible" Firefox with me hacking it in every time. With a recent upgrade to FF 57, Mozilla has finally made it impossible for a user to bypass the signing and compatibility checks without switching to dev or nightly builds. And, consequently, I'm fed up with Firefox and the asinine decisions by Mozilla.
Cannot browse without it. Please make it 57+ compatible.
You click on the "+" in the URL bar, and it adds the bookmark, and you can open your bookmarks in the side pannel. It's easy and OK, and very simple, but too basic for me, I'm looking for tags.
I like it... Not having to upload everything to cloud (Pocket etc.).
Love this add-on. Lots of times I want to keep a site / page just so I can check up on it later without the need to put it somewhere specific.
Read it laterがPocketになって凄く使いにくくなってたのですが、
If you miss the pre-Pocket "Read it Later", this is the extension you've been waiting for. Simple, clean, works. I have not encountered the bug mentioned. Firefox 51.0.1 (64 bit).
Because Fx48 is a mess, because I had to downgrade, because I had to replace the Profile folder from a back-up, and because I had to save my bookmarks from Fx48 and re-import them, I ended up without an empty Save-to-Read folder (in the menu, not in the library). I guess that's the bug described by the developer, and it was a real hassle to carry out his recovery procedure.
Is it really impossible for Save-to-Read to just *read* the bookmarks from its own folder?
Please make button that placed on navbar with clickable effect like standard Firefox buttons. And please make more modern material design ;)
Just add a preference to turn on/off the number of "days" in the lateral bar (because we seriously don't care and it take a lot of place for nothing) and it will be perfect! Thanks for your work!
I'm a long term Pocket (Read It Later) user but recently they've messed up with the Pocket and it's not usable at all. Fortunately I found this extension. The only missing things are synchronization and import from Pocket.
Mozilla forced an update on me that disabled the functionality of Pocket. I disabled the now-terrible add-on and sought a replacement. Though the old Pocket interface was better, Read-to-Save does exactly what Pocket used to do. Hope the support of this product can continue.
This is really neat, but can we have an option to remove the „+” icon from address bar, and move it to floating panel? it would be really, really good.
That it is difficult to remove items from the saved list was mentioned months ago. A good idea marred by a thoughtless lack of a crucial feature.
I've been using Save-To-Read since RIL has been integrated into Firefox and the old RIL extension became unavailable. Save-To-Read has all I need and I trashed RIL already. The only issue I'm having is that saving an item won't save the current timestamp which causes wrong items order on different PCs after syncing but I guess that's the price of simplicity.
I've this problem too, but this is limitation of the Sync, not this add-on. =(
The biggest issue I have with this add-on is that, in order to remove a Web page from the list, you have to go to the page and either change the plus sign to a minus sign or use the keyboard shortcut, ALT+W (I discovered that first thing quite by accident). The old Pocket add-on, the one that saved everything locally rather than through an online service, had the ability to delete something from the list by clicking on Mark As Read. Having to go to a Web page to delete it from the list is a major time-waster, especially if you want to delete multiple items. In the options, I can set the add-on to automatically delete a link when I click on it, but that would mean having to put it right back on the list if I wanted to visit the page again later. Why didn't the add-on's author add a right-click delete option?
Unfortunately, this is the only alternate to Pocket I've found that saves the info locally rather than requiring me to use an online service. Hopefully, the author will improve the functionality, adding some much-needed features. Either that or someone else will create a Pocket alternative that has the functionality this one is lacking.
