Pretty neat! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've been using Save-To-Read since RIL has been integrated into Firefox and the old RIL extension became unavailable. Save-To-Read has all I need and I trashed RIL already. The only issue I'm having is that saving an item won't save the current timestamp which causes wrong items order on different PCs after syncing but I guess that's the price of simplicity.

I've this problem too, but this is limitation of the Sync, not this add-on. =(

No quick and easy way to remove items from list Rated 3 out of 5 stars

The biggest issue I have with this add-on is that, in order to remove a Web page from the list, you have to go to the page and either change the plus sign to a minus sign or use the keyboard shortcut, ALT+W (I discovered that first thing quite by accident). The old Pocket add-on, the one that saved everything locally rather than through an online service, had the ability to delete something from the list by clicking on Mark As Read. Having to go to a Web page to delete it from the list is a major time-waster, especially if you want to delete multiple items. In the options, I can set the add-on to automatically delete a link when I click on it, but that would mean having to put it right back on the list if I wanted to visit the page again later. Why didn't the add-on's author add a right-click delete option?

Unfortunately, this is the only alternate to Pocket I've found that saves the info locally rather than requiring me to use an online service. Hopefully, the author will improve the functionality, adding some much-needed features. Either that or someone else will create a Pocket alternative that has the functionality this one is lacking.

Very usefull add-on without unnecessary additions.

Worked fine until.. Rated 2 out of 5 stars

It doesn't read the folder anymore, says there's no bookmarks.

When I want to add a link to read for later, it does not work. Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Update: I solved this issue below by following the KNOW BUG instructions. Now it works fine. So, when it works like it is now, it is a very good addon.

It does not work when I want to add a link to read for later. I press the + sign on the address bar showing Click-to-Save but it does not add at all the link!

There must be a BUG. And how do you delete this link, I am not sure at all either.

You should clearly state how you add a link and how you delete a link in your "About this addon" section.

If I did not have this simple problem of not being able to add a link, it would be a good addon. For the time being, it is completely useless when it does not work this way!

I have FF39 under Windows 7.

This user has a previous review of this add-on.

Very useful and to the point. Please continue development without bloating it!

Works well, but could use a better interface Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Save-to-Read could use a catchier name and interface, but the functionality is similar to Pocket and other comparable bookmarking addons. I especially like that it has a drop down list and a button in the toolbar to add articles. There is also an option to right click on links and save them to Save-to-Read.

I did not give Save-to-Read a full 5 star recommendation because the toolbar icon does not currently have an option to quickly add a webpage and I would like to be able to edit the interface more. There is a shortcut key, but I would like to have a shortcut button too. Online functionality within the addon is also lacking, but can be supplemented with a Firefox Sync account (unless I am missing something). The addon could use some improvement for 'power users' so the 4 star is to encourage more development of this addon and addons like it.

With Pocket suddenly changing their functionality it might be a good time to continue updating Save-to-Read.

Works as a charm Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Saves links for reading later.

No enforced Log-In. No dealing with 3rd parties. No remote hosting. No bullshit.

Давно пользуюсь, незаменимое дополнение Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Excellent addon. Saves me a lot of open tabs! ^_^
Is there a chance that we get symbolic toolbar icons?

I like it

works fine, but there is no option to move that damn cross outside the address bar to drop down list, or actually anywhere else...

Good addon, not so good support Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Unfortunately there is a display issue. Wrote an email to dev 5 months ago: no answer and no fix so far so I need to remove 2 stars for bad support.

Too bad, the addon would be PERFECT and could deserve 5 stars... :(

Better than Pocket! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I switched to this after Pocket doesn't allow anymore to save links locally. You have to have an online account. I don't like that. This add-on does the same, but save links locally only, and that's how it should be, at least for me.

OK, it's not as elegant as Pocket but it does the same. It would be nice if I could make the floating panel a bit longer, to see more links at once without having to scroll, but it's really not a problem.

Excellent add-on !!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Excellent add-on !!! But can you please add funtion "Sort by URL link" in the sort box ? Thank you very much

Excellent addon.
I particularly appreciate the fact that I can search through the bookmark descriptions, which is not possible with the default bookmark manager.

Reminds me of Pocket and Read-It-Later, but luckily simpler and local. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The add-on is simple and does what it says. Thanks to it I closed about hundred of tabs which I had opened in tabs groups (latest news from last year, soft I need to check, short videos to watch etc.). I really miss the feature to add folders for categories and maybe option to remove '+' from addres bar and use it from context menu. But these are not bugs - just my bitching.

Решение проблемы (крестик не работает) Rated 5 out of 5 stars
