The extension also makes it easier to detect if a website is using a secure method to handle form submission. When a user hovers over a button, a key in the statusbar lights up indicating that the information will be going to a secure website. This is useful to know if your username and password are going over SSL without having to view the source.
This bug has a minor conflict with some personas. The current tab may not be properly hightlighted if you have both personas and safe are installed.
