Islandgirl CV's review is confirmed. This Add-On only works once in in Firefox 3.5+ and then stops working. Also, it would be better if this Add-On was accessed through a tab instead of the context menu of the actual page.

Broken in Firefox 3.5 Rated 1 out of 5 stars

EDIT: I looked around for another extension to replace the functionality of Safari View and found one called Open in Safari which was developed to do exactly what Safari Vew used to. Open in Safari works perfectly with Firefox 3.5. It's available now at
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/12067

I'm giving Safari View only 1 star because it worked well in Firefox 3.0, but its function is severely compromised since the upgrade to FF 3.5. And, the most current version of this extension says it was last updated JULY 2008!
Since the move to Firefox 3.5, you can use Safari View ONLY ONCE to open a page. After that initial use, you must quit Firefox completely and restart it for Safari View to work again. This kills the functionality of the extension.
Normally, I'd email the developer about the problem. But the support Web site is in an Asian language and seems to require a login to access it, so Google won't translate the site.
It is inexcusable to offer an addon and set up so-called support that can't be accessed.

Very nice with Safari 3, but doesn't work with Safari 4 - will cause Safari to crash if it's already open.

Doesn't work in FF3.0.4 - but FF3.0.4 is so buggy, I downgraded back to FF3.0.3. Works great in FF3.0.3. It's one of the extensions I can't live without...... I hope a version for FF3.1 is forthcoming. :-)

Great, if only if could be tabbed Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I'm very pleased to be able to open pages in Safari, and I'm glad that this pluggin is compatible with FF 3.0.3.
However, as others have noted, Safari View would be vastly improved if pages could be opened in a new tab, rather than a new window.
Opening pages from FF in Safari if it takes you out of the browser is not too different from opening the Safari application to start with.
Does the developer have any intention of enabling Safari View to operate in tabs?

not baaaaad Rated 3 out of 5 stars

somewhat useful..but any way to make safari open up into a new tab rather than a new window??

Works fine in 3.01 Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Tested in FF 3.01 and no problems so far. It would be Great and better if it loads the Safari window inside a Firefox tab, like how IE tab does it, but this is better than nothing.
