Not working for me either what a shame Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I would love to have this feature as it would make life so much easier for managing my live bookmarks, but even if it did work it seems very limited in that there are no options for me to even tweak so it would be far too cluttered if i could get it working.... oh well
Good-buy sweet yellow scrolling feeder Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Its a damn shame of system & technology that this best informing scrolling ticker isn´t working anymore !
there is even no substitute for this little gem function. I therefore won´t buy foul apple or smart cans

Broken & Author has announced he will no longer maintain! Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I'm really sad because my whole workflow depend on RSS ticket.
The original author has announced he won't support any longer his plugins. Mainly due to the upcoming fundemantal changes in the Firefox plugin architecture.
RSS Ticker was already a very stripped down version of earlier releases to minimize the required support. I guess we'll loose quite a few plugins due to the upcoming changes.

I have loved this extension, but it is broken and no longer functions with FF 40. Please update, or give a time frame for when it will be updated to work again, I miss it.

Broken Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Having tried a bunch, this is by far my favorite RSS feed addon, but it seems to be broken as of Firefox 40 :<
stopped working Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Overall, this was a pretty good RSS ticker. It would have been nice to see a vertical view of the feeds, or some other way to view a lot of feeds quickly, but not critical. What is critical, is that it won't load my live feeds anymore. My feeds are active and my ticker is empty. The change from functional to dead happened overnight, after an automatic Firefox update.
Please fix it!

The last version i used of this Add-On was version 10. It works great and was the best RSS ticker i found. But it doesn't works with Firefox 35. The actual version works, but without the RSS button to activate and deactivate the ticker, it's useless. Because you have to search for the RSS toolbar in a menu between all the other toolbars, to deactivate it. Mostly i get the wrong one and it disappears, but the ticker is still there. The button maybe a simple function, but a very usefull! Thats the only negative point i have found on this Add-On. As a ticker, it is very great!
Very good for displaying scrolling news, but takes a lot of system memory Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I use this module for a long time.
I didn't find a better one to display scrolling news using RSS flow.
If you use to have several web sites opened at the same time, you surely had this problem: when Firefox crashes after a bug and restarts, you have a RSS Ticker tab which opens in each Firefox window.
To avoid having to close each RSS Ticker tab in each Firefox window, I found a solution: I use SessionManager, a Firefox addon.
If Firefox crashes, just wait for the RSS Ticker page to appear in the first Firefox instance. Wait for the RSS flow to be displayed in Firefox. Then, close the RSS Ticker message tab and ask SessionManager to reopen the previous session.
Doing that, the RSS Ticker message will not be displayed in all the Firefox instances.
A little more about this module: it uses a lot of system memory.
I dont know if it's a memory leak, but when I use this Firefox module and open several browser instances, I can reach 2 Gb RAM just for Firefox if I don't close Firefox for several hours/days!!!
If I kill Firefox, and restart it, I uses only 600 Mb for the same windows opened.
I tried to uninstall RSS Ticker and I compared the amount of memory used: no doubt this module uses a lot of memory ressources (and CPU, as said by other users).
So, I'm still hoping this memory issue will be fixed one day because it's a very good tool to read RSS flows.
Thanks to the developper.
Rename to 'RSS basic Ticker' Rated 3 out of 5 stars
- Eats way too much cpu,
- No ability to change font
- No ability to change ticker size or place
- No ability to detach ticker
- mark feed as read
- mark all as read
- ability to scroll
- summary preview
Could be so much better.
Small standalone rss tickers are available and have better styling, appearance, capabilities and use less resources.
