- by Kiwijetpilot, 4 months agoRated 5 out of 5Despite FB's desire to fill our lives with crap, and monetise everything, Revert Site gives us back the original FB format. Great add-on.

- by Firefox user 15075272, 4 months agoRated 2 out of 5Causes Facebook to interpret Windows 7/Firefox as Android. Facebook consequently forces user to mobile site intermittently. Refreshing the page or typing fb.com into the URL bar does not resolve the issue.

posted 4 months agoTry out the latest Revert Site release (v9.2) its a whole new ballgame, with a whole new revert mode. the new revert mode wont work for everyone, but its worth a try, as it works for a lot of people, it basically gets the whole site reverted including the newsfeed. If the new mode (mode 1) is not compatible with your facebook account, it will automatically switch to Mode 2 which is a fallback mode, and is not as feature complete as Mode 1's revert Mode 2 cannot revert the Newsfeed page, as Facebook redirects you to the mobile newsfeed for that Page, but the rest of the site should Revert to the old desktop layout. - by Jade Grigori, 4 months agoRated 5 out of 5

It's working again as of oct 31 - by Interceptor, 4 months agoRated 5 out of 5Its a blissful add-on in Firefox till now as on 31st October 2020 midst of such a perplexed situation for those who can't do without Old Facebook Layout. Kudos to the Developer steeev and rated it to 5 Star due to his remarkable effort to relieve all of us.
An important thing to draw attention to steeev. With this add-on activated in Firefox, when Anybody tries to load someone's profile link such as www.facebook.com/mark.twinbargh then it automatically redirects to its mobile version of the same url as m.facebook.com/mark.twinbagrh, no changes happen when 'm' is replaced by 'www' or 'upload' here in this url since same mobile version of the url repeatedly keeps loading each time. But, When anybody tries to load someone's profile link such as www.facebook.com/10001232434522 then its completely okay to load the profile with the old layout. It implies that this add-on has an issue with someone's Facebook username (such as mark.twinbargh) to load with old version against the same one's profile id number (such as 10001232434522).
Hopes, this issue will be fixed to make this add-on more smooth and appreciable.
Again, kudos and thanks to steeev. its a grate relief till now as on 31st October 2020.Developer response
posted 4 months agothanks! yes, i did try and get personal profiles to work, but didnt have much sucess, however i was trying with /profile.php?id=xxxxxx i will try again with the suggestion you proposed, and see how it goes. the problem i found was some users wouldnt work when i was using the id number, i think it might be to do with the user's facebook privacy settings, not sure, will look into it.
**UPDATE** i tried your suggestion and it doesnt work for me unfortunately. it still redirects to the mobile site when i put the user id number instead of the URL username - by Firefox user 15658271, 4 months agoRated 5 out of 5
