Simply the best firefox extension, ever.
Ever since I found R.I.P. I have used it religiously, however there are two pet-peeves of mine. First, I need to use a quickfix to make it compatible w/ Fx3.0pre, and second (this one is newer), ever since I got the addon \"prism\" and heard it would be getting addons in the future, I have been dying to have a prism port of R.I.P. Then I can get rid of those ads even in Prism web apps. Please Read this and update the Fx version, and write a prism conversion, if you do, I may have to find you and kiss your feet.
when there are many similar items with the same tag (such as /html/body/a/img) and i want to remove only those whose source start for example with http://www.pricescompare/*
what do i do? it doesn't support asterisks.
Nevertheless, it's one of the best add-ons!
Great! I banned ads from facebook forever. But ads are still shown when the rest of the page is loading. It would be even better if they could be removed right away so I don't have to see them at all. Nevertheless, still fantastic.
This was a wonderful add-on that I have relied upon for a long time to remove annoying elements on many web pages.
Recently, however, it activates every time I click within a field to enter text, and will not allow me to right-click paste text because of this.
Where I would have given it a ten, before, I am dropping to a five, and actually disabling this until you can resolve this. It has become an annoyance that is as bad, or worse than the annoyances I installed it to block.
Please fix this soon!!!
Excellent excellent I love you man :)
This is the reason why I chose FireFox and get goodbye to Opera
The extension i dream about since many years of annoyence by all this useless or uninteresting stuff all over the web i had to load and see day by day.
An absolute Must-Have.
Excellent Work! 10/10
Remove It Permanently works flawlessly for me.
Add the "Aardvark" extension and you can even remove the iframes that house annoying Flash ads, effortlessly and without having to look at the page source.
Perfect. Thank you!
This is a fantastic addon. It makes me the person in charge of what I see which makes it very very powerful.
Thank you for all your hard work! :-)
Works like a charm. I'm using it in conjunction with AdBlock Plus. AdBlock Plus removes most of the ads, which is cool, but I like that RIP removes the white space, and you can tell at a glance if the page you are on has had elements removed, just in case you want them back for some reason. Great work!
It Can Really Helpful If A Password Protection Option Could Be Added To The Next Version,To Keep People From Changing The Setting !
I LOVE this thing. It gets rid of stuffy text and pictures that I couldn't get rid of using Adblock.
There are, however, a few kinds as others have stated.
But who cares. This is, by far, my favorite add-on of the 40 that I have.
It took a few minutes to understand what each option does, but after that it was very helpful, especially for cluttered web pages that I frequently visit.
This is nice, but some of the annoying stuff is Flash. Let's get rid of it also.
It's a wonderful feeling to simply snap your fingers
and banish those incredibly intrusive, pesky annoyances forever!
This isn't the most intuitive add-on i've played with, in fact, I couldn't get it to work AT ALL until I used a feature in another add-on called Aardvark (http://www.karmatics.com/aardvark). Sadly, Aardvark doesn't appear to be a Mozilla approved add-on, but works well nonetheless.
Aardvark allows you to highlight parts of a page by "html element", and pressing the "K" key will add a filter for you for RIP.
If I hadn't noticed the option in Aardvark supporting RIP this would have been a waste of time for me.
It is fantastic!!, I can get rid of all the annoying little adverts!!! The only improvement I can suggest is this: when I right click the item, on the RIP advance option, if only I can make the "remove it on this domain" as the default.
Some items on newer Ebay Pages and My Yahoo pages come back after reload.
However recently there are some items which refuses to go afetr a reload of the pages. Some items in My Ebay and My Yahoo pages. They must have done something new in these pages, I most look forward to an update of this add on to combat these changes.
It removed an object I couldn't get rid
