I love this addon. Has a few sites that should be added to the default list, and took me a while to realize that this addon was the reason I couldn't use certain sites, but now it works just fine. Also, to get hotmail working, add this acception.
Been using redirect remover for a long time now. Very effective add-on.
@ Ben: I used to have problems loading and saving images with Redirect Remover installed. Turning off "clean images on load" in the RedRem options fixed my problem. Hope that helps.
Too much content is loaded through intermediaries. It's slower and annoying to not end up where you were supposed to be. With this extensions, things are just loaded directly; no more websites trying to redirect you through their junk. If you use Adblock+ then you should use this too. Filter it ALL out.
For years I used IE for surfing until I tried Firefox, and then discovered this fantastic wee gem. I dropped explorer like a hot brick. This add on should not be an add on. It is so effective it should be a compulsary part of firefox and integrated into it as bog standard. I would urge Mozilla to think about it.
While I had never experienced any much of anything with previous iterations of RDR, I now absolutely recommend it without equivocation.
It is superb, rated 10 +, the functionality of which has fundamentally improved my browsing experience to see sites I never would have otherwise gotten to view. This new updated version performs perfectly.
I feel compelled to report as of August 2, 2008 that while there's still nothing equal to the task of Redirect Remover, I have found it to be less effective in preventing sites from being directed
than when i made my intial review.
It's still the only and still best tool of its kind still deserved of its five star status as one of favorites. Thanks very much.
I've never had luck with extensions that sort out redirects. I usually end up removing them straight away. This version of Redirect Remover seems to be working perfectly, for me. Pages are loading noticeably faster, also.
many bugs are fixed in this version, it works great for me now. the redirect detection is strongly improved in comparsion to 2.3 or something. sometimes there are false positives, but you can add a filter to RDRs whitelist with the context menu.
like it. :)
Works great at removing redirects.
Always liked this extension, I've had no problems with it.
It works for Firefox/220.127.116.11 running on Linux. The extension works as advertised and removed all of those annoying redirects.
