Whats this for a shit melding by click of the icon?
Are you a hacker?? Damn!
When I tried to use it I received this error message: "App Not Set Up: This app is still in development mode, and you don't have access to it. Switch to a registered test user or ask an app admin for permissions."
The add-on downloads and installs okay, but once I click on the button, I get this text....
App Not Setup: The developers of this app have not set up this app properly for Facebook Login.
Perhaps a bit more tweaking is required.
I see that some have given this plug-in 5 stars. Maybe they can tell us how they made it work....
Can someone please tell me how to use this add-on? Like other people, I'm just being generated a URL which I'm being told to keep secret, and which does nothing. What do I do to download my chat logs?
Doesnt work just get a keep this url but what for? nothing else opens or happens
Any word on when this add-on will be updated? Currently just produces a new window/tab with a url warning and fails on login to your FB account. This is a handy utility, just needs to be updated.
Does not work. Just opens another tab which says "success. Security warning". But add-on bar constantly says "Logging into Facebook". No matter if logged in or out of Facebook. Tried logging in again, but no help
Error:(#613) Calls to mailbox_fql have exceeded the rate of 300 calls per 600 seconds.(Code:613)
I installed Red1 ver 1.2 on my laptop with win7 & Firefox 16.0.1.
It returns a Error "An error occurred. Please try again later."
Once I click Okay the error, a message appears at the Right-Bottom "Error occurred which fetching total count inbox"
Please help me; I need it badly.
First of all - love your work. This "add-on" is exactly what I was looking for - I was sick of scrolling down multiple times to read old messages, only to have to start all over when I hit "back".
I did run into a couple errors, but I imagine the size of my inbox is to blame. The first error # I do not recall, however the second one was #613 "Calls to mailbox_fqt have exceeded the rate of 300 calls per 500 seconds." - this was probably because I ran the app directly after the first attempt.
As for future suggestions -
1) Perhaps an error/activity log would be nice so I could quickly review successes, failures, etc.
2) An option to select specific threads, or maybe input a "date-range", etc - I guess the word would be more control ... however this is definitely not a must have.
3) And lastly, cosmetic updates might be nice - maybe bolding out pertinent info such as name/date ... and maybe a color pattern to help distinguish senders at a glance, for example: "Matt = Blue text", "John = Red Text", "Michelle = Green Text". I could do this all myself, but I am one lazy SOB. :-)
Keep up the good work - thrilled you found a way to make this happen!
Please add a feature that would allow to download attachments.
Hi, I was planning on doing that in one of the next versions. Cheers and thanks for the comment!
Wonderful addon! It does It's job as It suggests. I'm using it on a OS X 10.7.4 It froze a couple of times, but now It seems to work. I can suggest the following;
*Being able to pick downloading message thread by their ID's.
*Being able to pick download formats, maybe even customize.
*Make sure the addon doesn't get firefox frozen when downloading(yep It's frozen right now :/)
Any way amazing addon! 5/5
This extension works great with every PC I've tried, but I primarily use Macs and haven't had luck with any of my 3. Is there a bug that needs to be corrected in the Mac version? I get either error codes or hung-up at the log-in. Otherwise, fantastic add-on. I just wish I could use it!
Hi, hm, that's odd! Version 1.1 worked on MacOS. I have not tested version 1.2 on MacOS though. If you would send me an email to firstname.lastname@example.org I will sent you a version that should work on your Macs. Cheers, Thomas
Very good extension for Firefox. But unfortunately "archived facebook messages" are not working, only the ones which are in the "inbox folder". Hope there's gonna be a fix soon...
Hey, thanks for the input. Red1 only downloads the messages in your inbox folder but not the archived messages. Haven't thought of that yet. I will put it on the to do list for the next version.
Exact, what i am searching for ... its working well and easy.
TNX for this nice and usable tool.
any suggestions for improvements?
