This is a must have, especially now that the "save for later" feature is now free! Reading on the internet will never be the same. This probably doubles the amount of content that I read online.

One of the best tools there ever was for losing all the clutter on today's websites and focusing on "Only What You Want" from the page.

As someone with vision problems I can really enjoy reading again off the web without all the useless clutter.

One small but useful tip I can offer to make it even better. You can still use your browsers zoom features to make the resulting text any size your heart desires.

Nice Addon with some missing features Rated 4 out of 5 stars

The 'read now' button or the short cut doesn't work until the page has been completely downloaded. Why wait to download the complete page, if the idea is not to read it. I am using FF 12.0 with a couple of addons. Otherwise the addon is nice.

This is one of the awesome add ons at mozilla fire fox. It has made my study tussle free. Daily I use to read 5-7 News papers (National and International) and Magazines. A simple click on the readability icon enable to store Readability to all of my desired reading stuffs which I read later on my laptop of android smartphone later..
I really love this add on.

Why is this not featured on the addons page? If you can read you should use this!

Problem with login Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Even though I protected the cookies with CookieCuller, I have to login everytime to save an article. Please add a function to save the login credentials in the settings dialogue of the extension. Thanks. Otherwise its great.

good but could be better Rated 4 out of 5 stars

it is better if you can show the saved article from the add-on itself like what RIL add-on does

Why do those toolbar buttons need to be red and stand out? That's what I hate about all third-party plugins

Nice, slick, functional Rated 5 out of 5 stars

WTF -- now RDD.me is also disimproved for the worse Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I used to give lots of rdd.me-links to people. Now the Readability team also has broken this functionality. Rdd.me links now show the original web page first, and people need to click on a Readability hyperlink in order to show the stripped down view.

Don't you hate it when products get disimproved and bloated over time -- like Readability?

I sure do.

Absolutely necessary functionality. To use every day. Readability was once very convenient. But first it was inconvenient and slow. Now it does not work at all. Does not capture the main text. Where earlier work. I am looking for a replacement.

i need to take back my last comment about this product having regressed.
i gave it another try after uninstalling it 2 month ago.
it seems to be back to being fast and unobtrusive.
thumbs up.
it is no longer so slow.
give it a chance if you have uninstalled it due to its slowness.

Look to other addons Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Attempts to monetize this extension have changed Readability from an enjoyable experience to an annoyance. Frequent updates seem only intended to force you to visit their web page asking for donations or sign up for stuff (their web page opens automatically for every update). There is also an invasion of privacy that never existed before. It sends information to the developer every time you use the extension. Look at the other reviews (below) for suggestions of other addons that do the same job without the annoyances.

Major regression Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The addon used to work offline, but since version 2.0 it requires the use of Readability services — breaching the privacy of users. It has the worst choice of shortcut keys, conflicting with the default search shortcut (CTRL + K).

Fortunately, the older version has been forked and can be found at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/enjoy-reading/ Enjoy Reading is the future for offline enabled readers. Give it a try!
