Seems useful, but goes Firefox goes buggy if you try to uninstall. Main Menu bar and status bar disappear, never to return. Alt+Keyboard combinations don't help fix it either. Have to reinstall, get creative.

Toolbar problems

In the last version there is an option to show or hide toolbars that have problem to show up. You can try that before un-installing. And you can contact me by mail if it doesn't work.

Very versatile. Seems to work great in v3.6.

The default keybindings don't work because they conflict with existing shortcuts in firefox.

It would be nice to be able to show the toolbars which are usually hidden while in fullscreen mode.

I love this ext. That's what I've been looking for. Both QuickToolbars and Multirowbookmarks toolbar works perfects together.

Working, partially Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Well, after some lurking and trying it working, partially. Pressing on QuickToolbars don't really work for me - no effects, but shortcuts working, somehow.
I think this addon can be pretty useful, but author really need to rework it

Once i used this addon with BTP toolbar, and somehow it worked. Since then i never get this to work.
This is really unstable and hard-to-use extension.

mac os X 10.5.5 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

too bad I can't install it under Mac OS X 10.5.5 - seems like exactly what I was looking for: cleaning toolbar layout and being able to use them at same time. anyway, keep the good work, hope to see this fixed soon.

it gives an error:
Unexpected installation error
Review the Error Console log for more details.

and the Error Console Log:
Error: [Exception... Install problem

I submitted a new version (a month ago) that fixes that problem but it has to be approved to become public. Here's a link to that version :

Works fine for me, it is useful extension. But following bugs I discovered:
Shortcuts with any modifier (alt, ctrl, shift) do not work for me. So I have F4 for selected and F8 for all.
I have some suggestions for next version:
1) make a start up group for bars hidden when FF starts.
2) make one or two more groups to show or hide one or more bars with one shortcut

Thx and best regards.

Toolbars hidden (FOREVER!) Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I installed this one and it worked great, until the hidden toolbars never came back. Maybe when it was updated by Firefox. Maybe not. I think I will have to reinstall Firefox to get everyhing working again! But it's still a great idea. (UPTADING: solved without having to reinstall Firefox, with this:http://codefisher.org/toolbar_button/toolbar_button_maker )

Works great. Here's what I found:
F4 is the default show/hide
Additionally Alt+1 should 'out of the box'
You can configure QuickToolbars 1.0.7.3 in two places each does different things: from the addon list choose options to control the F4 behavior. Customize toolbar and add the QuickToolbars menu to edit the Alt+1 behavior and more.

Good idea, several areas of improvement Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This is a great idea for an add-on, so first, before any constructive criticism, I would like to extend my thanks to the developers of this add-on.

I observe three main areas of improvement to address in future releases of this add-on:
1. When the add-on is uninstalled, any toolbars that were hidden by settings established by add-on remain hidden. This may suggest that the default settings do not restore once this add-on is unintalled.
2. There is a lack of information available regarding keyboard shortcuts for this add-on. The support site that was provided for this add-on did not address how to properly format the keyboard shortcuts in the add-on settings.
3. When QuickToolbars is instructed to hide "all" toolbars upon enabling QuickToolbars, it is not immediately clear how to unhide the toolbars if a user has not set keyboard shortcuts. So, without any toolbars displayed whilst QuickToolbars is enabled, it is very difficult to figure out how to once again display the toolbars.

These is a big problem: I'm a Chinese user, and after I install this extension, the default language of this extension isn't English and I don't know what the hell that language is. Could you fix this bug and let the default language become English please?
