It's great extension, I have a network at home without proxy and another one at work with proxy.
It saved a lot of my time.
Thanks.

Mac User Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It works great on a PPC Mac with OS X.4.11, FF 2.0.0.14. The only change I would suggest is the icon is red when the proxy is off, and green when it's on. That would give better definition between Proxy ON (Green) and Proxy OFF (Red). Excellent work though. Thank you for developing it and please don't quit updating it.

This is a very handy add-on, but I always close my status bar for the purpose of saving browsing space. It would be terrific if you design a button of proxy on/off that can show on toolbar. Thanks.

Excellent addon!!!
Could you please add the ability to on/off proxy settings in IE in the same time with FireFox.

Does just what I want. Replaces certain other Proxy add-ons that are DOA with Firefox 3. Thanks!

Modify for FF 3.0 Support Rated 5 out of 5 stars

1. Uninstall the existing version by going to Tools then Add Ons then click on QuickProxy and select Uninstall.

2. Close Firefox

3. Save QuickProxy to your desktop. If you are already using FF3 then the easiest way to actually download it is in IE, since FF wont let you download it since its an incompatible software version.

4. Right click on the file while holding down the shift key. You will see an option that says "Open With". Choose WinRAR if you have it installed, WinZIP may work as well but I don't use Winzip.

5. Open the install.rdf into notepad.

6. Change the line that says em:maxVersion="3.0b5pre" to say em:maxVersion="3.*"

7. Save the file.

Now you should be able to double click the file which FF3 will install and the program will work. Thanks to Mr. Sandman below for this tip.

Firefox 3.0b5pre on Ubuntu Hardy Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It wouldn't let me install (Firefox 3.0b5pre on Ubuntu Hardy) even though it says that it supports 3.0b5pre on the web page...

QuickProxy Behavior Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is more of an FYI than a bug report.

I just wanted to mention that if you have QP configured to "Automagically Turn Off Proxy on Browser Launch" and you open a link in a new Window, rather than a new Tab, it will turn off the proxy in your original window, too.

This can be important if you have a live non-proxy connection, too.

This add-on is ideal for switching to/from a Proxy Server at home. See http://www.linquist.net/geek/proxy

Love it, but... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I love the simplicity of this extension (basically an on/off switch), but it should be expanded to include a selectable list of proxies if you left-click on the (P). It doesn't have to be anything really fancy, just a selectable, configurable list. Otherwise, keep it as-is. Superb work.

Make it work on Beta 5 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Download the .XPI file, rename it to .ZIP\r\nUnzip it to a temp directory.\r\nEdit the INSTALL.RDF file, search for the MaxVersion and change the 3.0b5pre to simple 3.0b5\r\n\r\nSave it, zip it again, rename to .xpi\r\n\r\nOpen the Firefox, go to Tools -> Add-on\r\nAnd just drag\'n drop the .xpi file on the window.\r\n\r\nDone it... :)

Indispensible for the corporate employee who works at home and office (behind firewall). Really missing it for Firefox 3.
