I like this button, it saves me many clicks to set and unset when moving from office to home networks. Good work! A minor bug maybe but when the Prefs menu is on the top bar, it is empty (MacOsX Lion FF12.0)
Great little extension, but no compatibility with 3.6. At least not the version here. No updates since 12/09, so see the bug report link above for my post with an update that works on 3.6. No extensive testing so use at your own risk.
quick_preference_button-0.1.5-fx did NOT work for me, and it was rather ackward to disable and eliminate.
These were the problems:
a) As soon as the "Prefs" button, or the quickpreference icon was added to a toolbar, the menus "File", "Edit", ..., "Tools", "Help" were disabled.
Not having access to the "Tools", "Extensions" menu prevented me from rapidly disabling quick_preference_button-0.1.5-fx
b) Clicking on the "Prefs" button, and the quickpreference icon would NOT open the preferences menus, as shown on the screenshots.
Right clicking would allow about:config, about-plugin, settings as well as the opening the preference configuration window. However the point of this extension is to allow changing preferences without using the preference configuration window.
I tested this on two machines under Debian and under Ubuntu. For the second here is my user-agent header:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:184.108.40.206) Gecko/20071103 Firefox/220.127.116.11 (Swiftfox)
I'll appreciate any suggestions to fix this problems. Many thanks.
