Could not install Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I followed the procedure to add "-private" to the shortcut without the quotations mark and kept getting message of invalid command line every way I tried it. I gave up and uninstalled it. Should not be that hard to install and use.

It works... sort of.... It would be better if it can load the home page URL setup and not the private browsing screen.
It does what is says but... Rated 3 out of 5 stars
What I was really hoping is that I could pass a link with the -private flag and Firefox would open in private mode and go to that website. But what it does is go to the website then switches to private mode.
Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately that seems to be a limitation in the way Firefox handles passing parameters but I'll keep looking.
