Must-Have Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Block any sites tracking you, and doesn't rely on a list. Compared to other add-ons this one is the easiest to understand.

Excellent, if you know what you want and what you're doing Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I was disappointed when the Blur (DoNotTrackMe) extension started letting way too many third party cookies through, so I looked for an alternative. Glad I found this. This is a tracking (and ad) blocker for power users and abusers. It has not only replaced Blur, but Adblock Plus for me as well. I see other reviews here complaining about it not blocking enough or blocking too much and breaking sites. Here's the thing: it's completely customizable! You can change the settings for each and every one of the suspect domains using the sliders. On many sites, I've unblocked most ad servers so the sites can get income. As long as I'm not bombarded with flashing, flickering, animated, video or otherwise annoying ads, I'm fine with that. If some pop up, I can and will change the settings to block them, although finding out which domain is the black sheep takes a little trial and error. And I still have Privacy Badger block the cookies from those ad domains so they can't track me. It's the best of all worlds. I also use the Self-destructing Cookies extension to automatically delete cookies from sites that I'm casually surfing to rather than visiting regularly. Between the two of them, I have tremendous control over what I see and who can track me.

causes conflict with Webroot filtering extension Rated 3 out of 5 stars

not sure what is wrong but latest version of privacy badger causes Webroot filtering extension not to display correctly when displaying website links, Webroot filtering extension is suppose to show green check marks next to sites well privacy badger breaks this and causes it to only display a white box which is not normal for webroot filtering extension, if you disable privacy badger then Webroot filtering extension returns to normal , not sure what is wrong ?

Useful Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Blocks trackers.
I've been lucky, and I've never really had an issue with sites breaking.
Worth installing.

As they said: it's not meant as an ad-blocker Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Everything being green/allowed at first is a bit scary, but while it's not immediately obvious, this extension must first WITNESS the trackers actually try to track you (despite Do Not Track settings) before actually deciding to block them, which makes sense.

Unfortunately, in the current state of the web, ads can be loud, obnoxious, animated, bandwidth-eating and even infect your computer immediately just from being loaded. As such, I just feel safer with more paranoid extensions that blacklist things by default.

TL;DR: Privacy on its own doesn't ensure safety. It seems to do what it says, but I recommend not using it on its own.

Also it breaks a couple pages when it blocks things (from what I tried on a different browser), so it could use work at the moment.

thanks Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Crash on exit with Firefox 46.0.1 Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Until now very useful. But now crashes on every exit with two error panels. I deactivated it and not more errors.

Please update!

(update)

Thanks and appreciate very prompt reaction of developers (less than 1 hours after my post !). I posted on GitHub and will followup from there.

I'm really sorry to hear that!
I'm one of the Developers of Privacy Badger and would love to help debug this problem, would you be willing to open a ticket on github and paste in the error messages that you're getting? Also let us know which version of Firefox and Privacy Badger you have. Here's the link: https://github.com/EFForg/privacybadgerfirefox/issues/new

Great Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thank you guys

Working excellent until recently Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Privacy Badger has lost its 'Privacy'. It was working perfectly fine but now it is allowing all of the social media sites to track my every move. All it is doing is having the Privacy Badger icon sit on top Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin etc.

Needs an update or its useless. Otherwise it is an excellent add on when working

Works great Rated 4 out of 5 stars

The only problem I have is that it works on Firefox, but not on Developer edition and I don't know why. Anyway, on Firefox, it works perfect.

I like it, but It needs a Android version Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Please update this for an Android Version. I don't like using Ghostery on Firefox for Android.

Completely broken in Fx 46 (Nightly) Rated 2 out of 5 stars

The extension just stalls at "Loading" and none of the UI functions at all. I've even tried disabling multi-process mode, as per the supposedly resolved bug report, but it doesn't solve the issue. Looks like this project is about to hit a wall when this version of Firefox gets bumped to stable.

Tracking protection that scales Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The concept here is really clever and the add-on works without interfering. I've even found it to be more stable than the Chrome equivalent. Very happy user!
