This was an wonderful extension, but now I cannot force it to work anymore. Please, update it!
This website is for firefox add ons and it won't work with firefix?! I'm confused.
PopupMaster 1.2.5 on the author website doesn't work with Firefox 4.0: No icon in the status bar or anywhere else even with the add-on enabled. PS: There is no "contact" page there either to report the problem.
Update to FF4,please!
Great addon, but please update to FF4.
What is the point of having "yes popups" add-on without having "PopupMaster" with it? I use this for my work site computers all the time, and now i have no worries about people causing Virus' on my computers now, i also do lest work fixing them now because of this!
Great addon! I can't leave without Popup Master. :)
Please, update to work on Firefox 4 beta 7. The new addon-bar don't show Popup Master icon.
Would be nice if you could add an export function for "popup blocker exceptions" (for backing them up).
there are still no block for many sites :(
Livejasmin плевать хотела на это дополнение.Всплывает так же неумолимо,как и раньше.Фигня это дополнение,не работает нифига.
So far, so good! For some odd reason, the popup blocker icon "disappeared" from my status bar and I could find no way to restore it. This add-on does the trick. Now, I have a quick and easy way to see the popup status of any page I'm on. No real big NEED to do so, but I wanted the ability, and this add-on did the trick.
I had no installation problems.
i tested it on Imagebam (and the Popups of Livejasmin) but it doesnt work. The Window still opens, but it is blank (it was even blank before i installed PopupMaster, because i already use AdBlock and NoScript). I am not satisfied with PopupMaster.
The name of this add on may seem to promise more, but only it only manages popups already blocked. Firefox cannot block many popups, like those from dictionary.com for example.
I thought this add-on might allow additional popup blocking power from sites like dictionary.com but it does not. However, it may well help you simplify your organization of popups from sites you wish to allow.
well i see I wasn't the only one that had problems with this.
when installed at first everything was fine. but when i ran mozilla again, all my bookmarks were gone. my search history was gone and i couldn't even restore my old bookmarks from a previous date.
I couldn't figure out how to uninstall it... didn't see it in Add/remove programs or in my start-programs so i had to go close firefox the hard way since closing it normally, didn't actually close it all the way... and then i had to go into the registry and manually delete it.
fortunately, once i did that it went away. but i do not recommend downloading this.
This is the first time I've had any problems with Firefox Add Ons. Immediately after installation around 50% of text across a broad range of internet content became gibberish (it displayed as "no-character" boxes, ligatures and fractions). Numbers displayed correctly but in the wrong face (font).
I failed to work out the link between the affected text - which included a Mozilla T&C onclick alert box - even after skimming through the source. So I un-installed PopupMaster, checked character sets, type faces and language preferences, trashed plists, wiped the cookies & bookmarks for luck, re-installed Firefox. No luck. It took a clean install to get it going again.
Still, no one else seems to have had a problem so, unless you're a dinosaur like myself (Firefox v2 on Mac OS X 10.3.9; times are hard), I'd completely ignore me and read the other reviews (why do I bother?).
It's a very nice addon, but it has a bug. when you change the popup permission, the PopupMaster statusbar icon doesn't change unless =
1. You reload the site
2. You use 'Edit Pop-up Blocker Options...' and click Close.
3. You click on a pop-up link
Works amazingly, thank you so much!
Exactly what I needed!!!
I have an always changing range of test systems some with s/w needing pop-ups enabled. -- ThankYou, ThankYou.
Another invaluable add-on I can't believe doesn't come standard.
I would like to have an option that popups are always disabled when I start Firefox. Is there a way to export my sitelist?
This extension is tiny, but essential! It is a very good addition to the built-in popup blocker! Now I have an icon in the status bar allowing me all the time to see whether this page wants to initiate a popup or not - without the annoying notification that comes down from top of the screen!
It shows different icons in the status bar, representing whether the pop-up is allowed. A great tool for people who often need to adjust the allowance of pop-up.
Great! :) 5/5
Awesome, it's a pleasure for me install this add-on.
I like this extension, it is very useful for allowing or blocking popups by clicking on the icon.
I found it works with FF3 if you install it from the developer's website: http://yellow5.us/firefox/pm/.
Actually I have found that several extensions work with FF3 if you uninstall them and reinstall them, or download them from the developers' websites instead.
