As of right now it works better than Pinterest's own useless button. Better in fact. Official Pinterest Button would take me to a second screen - even though i had already chosen the correct image to pin- and insist i select a completely random unrelated image or text, or logo or pictures of ads on the website.... and then wouldn't even include the link to that specific website....Now their pin button doesn't work at all.
Granted, I only just installed this add-on. But so far I am getting better results. I may keep it even if Pinterest gets its crummy act together.
Doesn't seem to work at all at first because I get a large window for pinning the image that covers the browser window and after I clicked Save, I just get a constantly spinning uploading animation and couldn't close the window. I had to force quit to get the window to close. I logged on using a different browser to check my board to see if the pin got pinned. It had but returning to the other browser brought the pin window back with the nonstop loading animation. After various attempts to close the window, the button in the Toolbar doesn't work for a second pin. I deleted this Add-On because it isn't functioning right.
Bisschen umständlich aber ein muss für pinterest nutzer ... ;)
Does not work. I get a pop-up window with a blank screen.
All this does is turn my Firefox screen red, nothing more. Useless.
I can pin things but when I try to visit the page associated with the pen I get a blank screen. Ready to uninstall. Has been happening since I installed the add on. Not fun.
Since the roll-out of Firefox 57, the Save Button for Pinterest add-on has been very useful because the add-ons I previously used are now not compatible with Fx 57.
Suggestion: Is it possible for the pop-up window size to be set smaller instead of covering most of the screen, similar to the size of the window that appears when clicking on the Pinterest or Save button on images?
EDIT: Just tested the See it Now option, which displayed the pin, but the Edit button didn't work. I tried pinning another pin and clicking See it Now and the Edit button worked.
EDIT 2: Just removed my suggestion re the pin window automatically closing. It now does (or maybe it always did, but I was impatient!) :).
EDIT 3: Re the constant spinning display after selecting a board, I had this problem too recently. The next day it worked correctly. I think this may be more a Pinterest issue as opposed to this add-on. As mentioned, the image *does* get pinned.
Every update it shows yours webpage, but what for? It has no change log, no new information. Theres no change log in the addon description either. i just have no idea whats going on with that addon.
Does it possible to set window size, because it always opens in full screen, yet official Pinteres Pin-button opens in smaller window and does it faster.
I hate the random tab popup. it's annoying to be surfing and then suddenly it opens up with an advert no matter what I'm looking at.
When I try to save something to Pinterest, I can't get back to the page I was on that I originally pined it from!
I'm a licensed gourmet chef, on the 22'nd I've been one for 44 years, and I like to record recipes not to necessarily use, but to sometimes take bits to use in my own creations.
I try to install this but the button is nowhere to be seen in the interface. Have no clue what to do about it.
Firefox on Windows 10 64-bit.
Ever since I installed the add-on, I had trouble with Firefox hanging and freezing. Disk usage on my PC (visible in Task Manager) pegged at 100% and stayed there as long as Firefox was active, which caused other applications to slow down drastically.
Removed the add-on, and all these problems went away. Add-on is not ready for prime time.
Every other day the add on is updated and informs the user with an annoying tab
I continue to get an automatically added tab with a "BD for pinterest" window pop-up. It is irritating enough that I removed the add-on
The add-on works fine but lately there have been pop-ups every time I use this laptop. It's very irritating when I'm trying to concentrate on work, and I'm not sure what the point of them is. My other add-ons seem to manage just fine without this extra irritation.
Thank you very much for contacting us.
This should not happen. Could you please send us your operating system, Firefox version and add-on version details to our support email address please so that we can look into problem more thoroughly? If possible, please send us a screenshot of your issue.
Baris Derin is a good addon author. He's been around for like forever and I have never got a virus from his creations.
It is normal now for many popular addons to include a popup that opens to inform you it is up to date. Also, it will include a reminder that the author receives donations. In case you are wealthy and want to support poor starving devs. It's just a reminder. Like a calling card so maybe if you are corp hiring devs you might give them a call. Not malware. This addon is above board. Just close the popup it's not dangerous.
Did a really good job, but sadly stopped functioning. Hope for the best.
Edit (00.25): un- and reinstall restored good health to the addon: it is functioning again; back to five stars!
Thanks! Latest 51.0 running again
Used to be great, now whenever I click the button it takes me to the items to be pinned page, but clicking 'pin' or any of the photos does nothing.
After latest update, it is working great again! Dev listens & saved the AddOn! Much love...
Running latest version of Firefox on OSX.
Works really well - unlike the Chrome extension, which just disappears if you type too many characters.
5 stars-- I use this add-on daily. Having the ability to pin background images is an extra bonus that you can't do with the pin it button!
My go-to shortcut: option+command+P ... images available on the page to be pinned don't disappear after each pin! (You know what I'm talking about if you've used the sites own pin it button!)
Glitches have been near non-existent in my experience so if it isn't functioning properly at the moment ... I recommend being patient. Let's give him a chance to fix it as it isn't automatic. I hate seeing a bad review solely because a search engine update leaves this add-on incompatible for a day. :)
Eu gostei muito desta extensão e recomendo okei.
Amazing Add-on ! Now, saving pictures i find interesting is sooo very convenient ! Instead of saving them everytime to my PC, i can just right-click and add it to my pinterest collection . Thank you so much !
Teşekkürler Barış, pinterest'in kurulmayan / görülmeyen / işe yaramayan browser button'una, işe yarar bir alternatif geliştirmişsin. Emeğine sağlık.
