Personal Menu is great extension! Thank you for that.
It would be extremely nice to bring back menu button that can be placed on toolbar (like it was in Personal Menu for Firefox 3) as alternative to modern original Firefox menu button.

One of my favorite! Since I installed, I didn't see the menu bar! And I'm developer! This simply frees up 30 wasted pixels from the top!

I have the very same problem hexium posted on June 24, 2012. (If I click 2 times, I'll get 4 repeated entries).

This addon appears to work fine, but since FF13 it doesn't work with the "custom buttons v0.0.5.5" extension anymore.

This is a pity because it always worked fine until now...

There are some steps that can help me to figure the issue out.
1. Restart your Firefox.
2. Ctrl + Shift + J
3. Click Clear button and choose All in Error Console.
4. Click Firefox Button. If the issue occurs, close the menu and click the button again.
5. Copy the errors in Error Console and post them in the discussion forum.

v5.1.0 broken with firefox 13.0.1 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have a set a button with a customized menu.
With firefox 13.0.1 and the latest version (5.1.0), only 4 items of the menu are shown, and none of them are clickable.

Moreover, there's a bug that makes the menu get duplicated (the same 4 entries are added) every time the menu button is clicked.

So, if I click the button 10 times I have a menu with 40 repeated entries, and none of them can be clicked.

Thanks for this great addon, I'm using it for months.
In combination with 'Menu Editor' it provides a very clean and minimalistic layout.

fix for broken history Rated 4 out of 5 stars

the broken history items in menu pane can be fixed by going to options>history and click reset... this puts back @ 15 items & checks the Hide box.

[----> it seems FF 13 broke this item]

was quite flustered b4 figuring this out

History button menu Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thx for this addon, but since one of the last firefox updates the menu that opens by the click on the addons history button shows nothing on first click of the session, you always have to click twice.
Here is a screenshot that explaines better what I mean:

I like personal menu the most because-
1. It makes my firefox browser sophisticated.
2. it allows me to remove unwanted menu bars.
3. It is an user friendly add-on.
4. It is free of cost.
I always use this addon. I would also like to advice others to install it and make your browser sophisticated.
Thanks

A brilliant add-on which provides some much needed improvements to the history drop-down (like, for example, a drop-down menu rather than a sidebar pane) and customisation options for the firefox menu. Also, the ability to get rid of those god awful drop-markers (which become redundant once you've been using the browser for more than 10 seconds and thus know which buttons open drop-down menus and which don't).

One little snag. It's not compatable with the Firefox Share add-on. This may be an issue with the Firefox Share add-on though, as it is only an alpha release.

@ grimpow

Add the below to the last line to your userChrome.css
Make sure there is a space between them.
Where it says "Not Firefox" replace that with your desired name.

#appmenu-button .button-text { display:none !important; }
#appmenu-button dropmarker:before { content: "Not Firefox" !important; display: inline !important;}

That's it!

Good Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Really good, does just what I want. The one thing is that I can't figure out how to change the name of the personal menu (to my name, for example)

open as new tab or window Rated 4 out of 5 stars

When bookmarks and histories in "Bookmark Items" and "History Items" in Personal Menu are opened, it opened in the current tab.

They ignore the settings of any tab addon, where to open bookmarks and histories.

I tried Tab Mix Lite and Tab Utilities Lite, but they did not open them as new tabs.

I want to open "Bookmark Items" and "History Items" in Personal Menu as a new tab.

Little Help Rated 5 out of 5 stars

New user here. Absolutely love the Personal Menu Add-on! But I always wanted to know how to edit these things using the CSS files in chrome folder. Is this how Personal Menu works using CSS?

Where can I learn more on editing firefox menus? Where did you learn it from?

Please reply, this thing has been bugging me for quite a while. The WEB has pages on how to edit UserChrome.css file but no page has info on further tweaking or an online reference. Waiting for a reply ...
