- by Rahul, 9 years agoRated 4 out of 5Very innovative concept. However, the app tabs 'peeked' at don't seem to correspond with the actual app tabs. I.e., if I peek into a Gmail app tab and log in, then switch to the Gmail app tab completely, I'll still be at the log-in page there, whereas the 'peeked' app tab has entered the inbox. This discrepancy encourages abandoning app tabs entirely in favour of 'peek' tabs. Is this intentional? Because if not, it seems like a breaking problem. Also, not a biggie, but Alt+Shift+* is a bad idea, as the default shortcut for switching multiple languages in Windows is Alt+Shift. I've found that peeking into a tab sometimes switches languages for me, if I'm slow with the keys. Apart from that, this is a very promising idea that should probably be default behaviour for browsers.
Developer responseposted 9 years agoThanks for your feedback!
Yeah, the *content* of the page is not the same yet. There's a way to do it, but it'll take a little bit more work, and I wanted to get this out to prove the concept.
And hopefully the next version will also have configurable keyboard shortcut too.

Looking forward to new versions with features like being able to change the keyboard shortcut and more!
- by Jake Hartz, 9 years agoRated 4 out of 5This is great - just what I needed! If I have so many tabs open that there are scrollbars in the tab bar, this add-on fixes the problem where opening a link creates a new tab all the way at the beginning of the tab bar. The only problems I have are that the context menu and zoom controls don't work in the popup version of the app tab and opening the popup doesn't clear the app tab (the "glowing" color change indicating that something changed in the app tab is still visible).
