Great Add on !! for the Paypal scam !! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Bird...Thank you very much for this add on. I got trapped in their little Paypal game just two days ago. I was boiling hot when I called Paypal and asked them...WTH is going on! I said, If your going to force me to use alternative methods to pay for the items with other funds (Bank or Bank MC) vs using my Paypal MC..."Why do I need a Paypal MC" to make my online purchases if I can't use it.I told Paypal that if this every happens again. I would have no problem closing my Paypal account and look for other online payment alternatives companies.I hope Google starts their own online payment services and eats Paypal for lunch. I hope people out there are getting wise to the Paypal scam. PS. Paypal wrote me back and apologized and said, This would never happen again and not to close my account. Yea, Right, Like I was born yesterday. :) Thanks Bird !! Zapper installed and ready to go !!

Awesome add-on Rated 5 out of 5 stars

So many times I've lost the secondary benefits of using my credit card (like travel points, etc) by inadvertently paying with my default funding source (chequing account). This add-on is a must for anyone using PayPal.

Works perfectly Rated 5 out of 5 stars

What a great idea! A JavaScript alert pops up warning you that PayPal is trying to seduce you into paying from your bank account. If you click the "No" button, you are redirected to the page where you can select a credit card for payment. I love this!

getting the "Error: missing } after function body" error here too.

Awesome insurance when you can't avoid PayPal Rated 5 out of 5 stars

PayPal's lack of ethics/scruples is legendary--how they continue to attract customers, I do not know (and probably don't want to know). I only use them when I deal with a seller that has bought into the PayPal trap.

Great add-on to add a little protection when I am dealing with a PayPal seller.

Kristie has missed the point. You should never use the PayPal balance or Instant Transfer to pay, since then you are under PayPal's terms. So checking to see if you have enough funds IN your PP balance is not enough. This add-on is basically a failsafe against falling into PayPal's trap and unintentionally submitting a payment using instant transfer. It could be improved by also warning you when your PP balance is going to be tapped. This is just as bad as instant transfer in my opinion, since it does not give the same protection as a credit card, and paypal still charges the same 3% (to the receiver) for using YOUR money. Please update for use with 3.5!

Not yet ready for primetime. Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Useless and unnecessary for anyone that first checks to see that there are enough funds in their PayPal account before trying to make a purchase. However, if you are in the habit of making purchases by using PayPal as a buffer between the merchant and your bank or credit card accounts, then this is for you.

Waiting for an updated version to be released, will not install as is. (3.5)

Version modified to work up to Firefox 4.0 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is a version where the install.rdf has been modifed to make the maxversion 4.0 instead of 3.0. This should allow all the beta 3.1 and 3.5 versions able to use the extension.

This is a wonderful extension! What a great way to bypass Paypal's self-serving instant transfer! Thanks!

Thank you for creating this. I quit using Paypal because in my personal opinion they are an unethical company - I don't want such ethically challenged people to have my financial information. Now, at least if I really had to use those creeps, I could partially protect myself from them with your extension. Great Work.

I love this addon! I've fallen for that sneaky orange button 3 times already, but no more! It's because they put the button like its at the bottom, but it's not -- under that it shows the payment method, but when I clicked the button, it was too late to go back and change it. I see from your website that they authorize your card anyway, so why would anyone want to use instant transfer? A much needed improvement!!
